I stayed in a room with a stone bath. We were blessed with a sunny day during the rainy season, and the sunset from our room during dinner was very beautiful. Since we had our meals in our room, we were able to stop our meal and take a leisurely look at the scenery from the window to watch the sunset. I was full from both breakfast and dinner. The hot springs also made my skin feel moisturized, so I went in there many times. My only regrets were that the public bath was small, and when I had a bath time with a group of guests, I couldn't enter the changing room and lockers because they were full, and the bath in my room was completely visible from the park in front of the room. Since local children were playing there, I could only see the scenery through the blinds. Other than that, the staff who took care of me were very kind and nice.

I stayed at Ichibokan to eat lots of crab. The weather was fair on the first day, and when we arrived at Yuhigaura Kizu Onsen Station on the Kyotango Railway, a microbus was waiting to pick us up. In order to avoid the risk of contracting the new coronavirus, I was thinking that I would prefer to eat in my room and reserve a private bath for my family, but when I contacted the travel agency and found out that it would be better to have a private bath in my room, they told me that the room was It is said that it is no longer available. However, there were vacant rooms available on Ichibokan's website, so I called them directly and they readily accepted the change. Bathing while looking out at the Sea of ​​Japan in winter from a room with a Shigaraki ware bath is the best. I could open the window a little and stay inside for as long as I felt the cold air. The room with a bath is not a room for meals, but a restaurant, so I wanted to refrain from eating at the same time as many people, but when I went there, the tables were clearly separated, so I could eat in peace. I received it. There were three crabs per person, and we were able to enjoy a full course of crab including boiled, sashimi, grilled, tempura, steamed egg custard, and hot pot. I also devoured three bowls of rice porridge to finish the meal. The breakfast the next morning had a lot of variety and the pot-cooked rice was so delicious that I ended up eating way too much. Speaking of the Sea of ​​Japan in winter, it's all about snow. It started snowing around dinner time that day, and by morning it was completely white. On the JR website, there is a notice of suspension of services such as the Fukuchiyama line... I thought about staying another night here since the room was apparently vacant, but I was told that even a cheap room would cost 30,000 yen to stay on Saturday. I was told that I could take the Kyotango Railway to Toyooka, so I was prepared to spend another night at a business hotel in Toyooka, when I was informed by the staff that they were considering sending the group's inn guests to Sasayamaguchi by bus. I didn't know the distance from Ichibokan to Sasayamaguchi, but the microbus that picked me up yesterday took me on a regular road for about 3 hours because I couldn't use the expressway, and I safely returned to Osaka by JR from Sasayamaguchi.
