When you arrive, there is no space to stay and drop your luggage. Originally, the car of the first arrival is shifted in the place where the car should be temporarily stopped, and it is good to carry it to the parking lot quickly ... At last, I hold the car and drop my luggage, and when I enter the entrance, I suddenly silently protrude the thermostat to my eyes and I am afraid. There should be a word there ... The carpet is a color that feels the year, and the carpet in the corridor is moldy. The interior and facilities of the room will have been renovated in recent years, and there is a point. However, the throat was painful the next day because there was no humidifier. The room guide is foreign and the Japanese is not transmitted well. It seems that it did not pass through the use of the bed, and when I returned from the meal, the futon was laid. There is no air cleaner, of course, that makes the dust a large layer by repaving. And the bed was hard with a mattress, and the body hurt the next day... In addition, if you ask for a fan for a hot friend, you will not understand it, and another staff (perhaps Japanese) who has finally understood it is ”no need”. No, it's hot to go up the bath, and you can't cut the heating or open the window for others. In other inn, I asked many times in winter, but it was the first experience to be disgusted... seriously this inn. As for the dish, the Joshu beef shabu shabu was ok. The special point was that * was delicious, and the yellow body was elastic and prepri. But the hot spring * of breakfast had a shell... Galilee. The bath had an inner bath and a cave bath of the time system instead of putting, but the entrance of the cave bath was ahead of the outer passage under the freezing point, so it was quite cold when going with yukata. The bath that only makes the wall a cave style is a little cheap with a conkri bare ... once it enters it is enough. The interior is not separately a secret room but under the open air = freezing point, so a vertical cave? Until you enter the Yakuyu bath in the back, you will walk naked and under the freezing point (be careful because it slips). There is the first bath next to you, so let's warm your body there and then go. The inner bath was a large bath + open air, and the open air was awesome ... cleaning? It was about three adults and the size of the full size, a little narrow. The public bath is that. It is not recommended as a general review. There is no wifi for the room at this time. As for the customer service and the service, the level is generally low, such as the arrival, the guide, the service of the meal, the foreign staff at the time of check-out, and the customer service attitude. I think I was shocked because I was a high plan, but I think I felt dissatisfaction even if it was cheap. I think I will not repeat it anymore.
The hotel's facilities and hygiene are very good
There is a kitchen and public space
The only drawback is that there is no private bathroom
So you need to wait for public showers and toilets
Because the hotel location is relatively remote
The landscape is very beautiful on snowy days
But it will be more difficult on the way to the hotel
Because there is a lot of snow and steep slopes
Next to the hotel is a free Jizo soup and a praying Jizo statue shrine. From Shinjuku Bus Station to Kusatsu Onsen Bus Station, a 5-minute walk to the hotel. The path to the hotel went uphill and downhill, in front of which is the Seven Star Hotel, and behind is the hotel where I live. This hotel is even more convenient for the Pochizo soup. There is a sign on the ground of the road, and at the bifurcation, it indicates which side of Jizo Soup and Tangliao (same as google map navigation). The hotel is very close to Yufu (the main valve of the hot spring village, which diverts hot springs with more than 80 degrees, not soaked). The Japanese-style hotel is very spacious and clean, and can't smoke. An authentic breakfast is served in the morning and is highly recommended.
The video I recorded seems to only upload pictures. The Japanese-style hotel environment is great.

A Japanese-style hotel without a separate toilet. The public bath is relatively low-end and costs 150 yen per person. The heating is a kerosene stove, which smells great. In short, it's a Japanese country hotel, so it's right to think so. Dinner and breakfast are the only highlights.
The Sark Hills is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Sark Hills is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Kusatsu. The hotel offers easy access to JR Gunma-otsu Station, just 11km away. There's plenty to do nearby, with Kusatsu Onsen Ski Resort Tenguyama Rest House, Yubatake and おさ湯 ~草津温泉おさるの湯もみ処~ all within a short distance. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings.

GGuest UserThis was my first and only stay at a ryokan so I don’t have much to compare it to. I chose this lodging because of the cats and good reviews on the food. The cats were really sweet and I enjoyed playing with them. I have 2 cats of my own so it was really nice. The food was so beautiful and delicious - the mushroom soup at dinner was amazing. I really enjoyed it. The private bath rooms were very convenient and open 24 hrs. I thought the facilities were clean and very pleasant. The location was very close to the central area and a quick walk to all the important sites including the bus station. The only comment I have was in the morning someone was smoking and the smell got ****** into the 2nd floor hallway so maybe more care should be taken to be sure the smoke stays outside. The host was so nice and sweet and I used google translate to ask questions. The matcha madeleines are so tasty I bought a box to take with me.
GGuest UserIt was the smallest room, but it seemed to have been renewed, and the wallpaper and so on smelled good in the tatami table. The meal was colored 々 and enjoyed. The tea bowl steaming of foie gras was fat and it was impossible for the elderly, but I had a lot of ground things such as salmon and cow in Joshu. I was happy to see me left-handed and to take care of me to replace the direction of the cheek at breakfast. The table interval was wide, and I could enjoy the meal quietly without worrying about each other. Yubata and bus terminal are close, but it is a calm inn in a quiet place.
Kkinzooo1005Close to Yubata and a lodging for a night, you can enjoy Kusatsu Onsen. You can go out to eat, shop and walk in free time. Dinner had steak and Chinese. I bought a drink in seven near Yubata and drank it at the inn. I asked for a cocktail at the bar of the inn that was a little short of drinks, and I drank with my wife while I was soaked in my foot bath. The building looks fashionable. The room is very large and clean, with furnishings such as tables, sofas, TVs, etc. Because it was a free plan for rental open-air bath, I was able to soak and enjoy the hot spring four times. Moreover, the rental bath has a room of a large size, and you can relax while watching TV. There was also a simple breakfast and it was enough. It was an inn I wanted to go again.
GGuest UserIt's one of the Kyoritsu resorts that I've always wanted to stay at. It is located on a hill, away from the center of Kusatsu Onsen. There was still time for the shuttle bus that day, so I took a taxi. When I arrived, the person in charge took my suitcase. Check-in was also smooth. The style of the room is to my liking. However, the fluffy pillow didn't suit me. I wonder if fluffy and expensive pillows are the mainstream these days. The changing area in the public bath is very small. There are 4 private baths, and there will be competition for everyone (lol) Dinner is my favorite. I prefer Western cuisine to Konomi rather than Japanese Kaiseki, so all the dishes were delicious. One thing that could be improved is that the shuttle bus apparently does not depart at the same time as the bus from Naganohara Kusatsuguchi. I hope this area can be improved.
GGuest UserIn front of the bus terminal, by the municipal parking lot, the first floor is Lawson, and there is a dining place next to it. It is about 5 minutes walk to Yubata. The rooms are on the second floor, so I do not recommend it to those who have a staircase. We stayed in a Western room suite. The room was large and overall brown and it was very fashionable. The tea confectionery was very delicious. The bath is put in except when cleaning. There is only 2 washrooms, but there are not many rooms, so if you don't match other guests, there is no problem. A key locker is in the dressing room. Free breakfast was very good! Not too much and not too little. The fee is also appropriate. When you tell me that you will be a city bra at check-out, you will receive a 2 hour service ticket for the city parking lot. Because there is no parking in the town, it is better to stop by car. When we returned to the car every luggage, it was around 10 o'clock, but there were already many cars waiting for full cars. It was very good, so I would like to stay again.
GGuest UserWe stayed in one of the rooms with a private onsen. It was a large room with two beds on the floor and a dining area. There was also a tiny makeup area/table on the side that I truly appreciated. The in-room onsen was large and comfortable. It had a large window that opens which brings in the refreshing cool air. The Skintheque toiletries were luxurious and perfect. The large shower was also a plus for us. Food was unbelievable. I was able to try new tastes and flavours I won't soon forget. The breakfast chicken with tomato and onion was a surprise. Dinner's abalone was also a revelation. My DH is a tall and large man. We truly appreciated the length of the bed, the size of the shower and onsen. The only problem is that the hotel staff is not very well-versed in English, though they do try their best.
GGuest UserPerhaps the biggest flaw: they don’t have non-smoking rooms. Aged hotel, great location, abismal architecture, ugliest building around the Yubatake, nice service, parking out of the town centre, but with a shuttle taking you back and forth any time of the day. The hotel onsen is ok, but not big enough to deal with peak times. Breakfast is fabulous. A true banquet. And service is so good that they’ll even bring you a nama tamago if you ask them. If you don’t want to pay for a traditional-looking bath house building, you’ll find nothing more convenient than this hotel. And if you have a problem with any ashtray smell of your rooms, they will desodorise it in a process that takes 1 hour. Perhaps not a bad idea to ask them to do this before your expected arrival time.
GGuest UserOverall staying in this hotel was pleasant, and it was of great value considering the package had already included dinner and breakfast buffet.
Regarding location, it was a bit far from the bus terminal by walking. It took us about 15 minutes, as the route by Google was not quite correct. The main entrance of the hotel was up on a slope, which was not as easy as we were carrying luggage.
Remember to ask the front desk for the password of the back gate. It was a short cut route leading to the main shopping street and the Kusatsu Yubatake.
The room was pleasant and clean, a bit too basic. There was only a socket near the tv wall, not close to the bed, which was a bit inconvenient.
There was wide range of food in the buffet, with some interesting local dishes. Food was delicious. The hotel also offer free late night snack noodle, which worth trying too.
XXIANGA very old hot spring hotel is also the cheapest one in the area. At this price, it was in line with expectations. It arrived a half hour earlier, and it also smoothly let CI. Just like a small Japanese-style hostel, the clerks do not speak English, and they communicate with me in Japanese with no more than 10 sentences. The room is older, but there is everything there, and the bathrobes are beautiful. The hot springs are all public, there is no private soup, and the toilets are also public. There is a squat pit and a toilet. The toilets have to line up that morning. The sense of form at dinner is still in line with the routine of Japanese hot spring hotels. The dishes are ok, and the breakfast is a bit disappointing. It is all carbon water, and the hot spring eggs are not. The geographical location is an extra point. This town has many mountain roads. His home is a 1-minute walk from the bus station, and it will not be very tired to go up and down, let alone ask the hotel to drive to pick it up.
According to these circumstances, it is okay to give 4 points, but I don't recommend everyone to live, because this house has hidden charges, and in winter it will charge 500 warm house fee and 150 hot spring water tax. There is no mention on the booking page. If the hot spring tax is not unfamiliar to people who frequent Japan, what is called the warm house fee is very strange. Communicate with the store. They showed me their official website, which means that there is a statement. I said that I didn't set it on the official website. I have no way of knowing it. I prefer to believe that the owner ’s idea is pure and not intentional, but doing business is very frustrating. No wonder it takes up such a good position and does not renovate. Similar hotels that have been renovated next door can sell twice as much. Of course, the result of the matter itself is still good. This hidden charge problem was later subsidized to me by Ctrip. I praised Ctrip customer service and dealt with it in a particularly efficient and professional manner. The reasons for not recommending are: 1. Difficulty in communication. I went to the next few places and visited. Although the English is not fluent, it is obviously much better. There are local characteristics (I changed to the hotel the next day); 3. In addition to the so-called warm house fee, his family's original price advantage of only three or fifty rmb will no longer exist, and you can choose the same price slightly more expensive, Choose the few hotels, the single room price is also in this grade, but the conditions are much better, anyway, this one also experiences impenetrable Japanese feeling, if you really want to experience Japanese feeling, you can choose a hotel above 1500rmb.
GGuest UserWe have been visited several times by families who want to go to the source of Nishi-no-Kawara for skin treatment. If you go down the back mountain from the hotel grounds, you can get down to the source of the west riverbed, so you can enjoy footbaths and soak in the riverbed many times. Just over 5 minutes? The route down is a very rough road like a mountain trail, and there are some slopes, so it is a bit difficult and requires some tricks. I don't think I can recommend it to the elderly, young children, or women. You can also go to Yubatake from Nishi-no-Kawara, but it's a little far away, so I think it's best to use the hotel's shuttle bus, even if it's only one way. Municipal near Yubatake? It was convenient to be guided to the parking lot, but it was 600 yen for 2 hours. Meals and baths are average for the price, but this time I was surprised that the room was clearly not cleaned properly and was full of dust. The slippers in the bathroom were still mushy, probably from the previous person's use, and the tatami mats were dusty when you walked in the room. Tea utensils and tidying up were normal, so I thought maybe they were understaffed during the busy season. The staff on the floor during the buffet meal were foreigners, but they were generally kind and helpful, which I appreciated.
