Kunming Guandu District Hotels

Perfect, smooth, calm. The staff is professional and polite. They arranged the transportqtion from the airport and even woke me up in the morning. However The so called modern domotic system is useless. They should remove it. Great restaurant as well. But breakfasts could bd improved. No cereales for examples

One of the best hotel stay in yunnan. The view was impeccable. The room was clean and all the basic necessities are provided. It is situated at walking distance from KMG railway station and easy to find. There are a lot of convenience store and restaurants nearby.

Very helpful and lovely reception desk which made me feel welcomed immediately. As it was low season, they upgraded our rooms to a larger one. Thank you. Location wise, they are located within a cluster of other buildings and hotels. Unlike conventional hotel, they do not have their own driveway unfortunately and the main road in front of the hotel (Youping road) isn't ideal for dropping people off nor allowed cars to hang around. That means our car had to alight us about 5 mins away and we were left to fend for ourselves navigating the area in the rain. If you have large heavy luggages or elderly and children to manage, it is advisable to ring them up in advance for direction advise. As we were international guests, we had some issues locating the hotels in the cold rain. Oh well. On the upside, helpful staff, great rooms, well-equipped with everything that you need, simple buffet breakfast. They even helped packed our last day breakfast as we have to catch an early train at the Kunming train station which is about 5-10 mins walk away. The walk is manageable even with my elderly parents but I suggest you do a quick check of the route beforehand as it is a bit of maze in Kunming city. If it rains, it could be troublesome. Fortunately, the rain stopped on the morning we had to leave. Overall, I appreciate the professionalism of this hotel. Plenty of eateries and convenient shops in the area. Lots of flower biscuit shops too for any last minute souvenir purchases and there's also a 7-11 nearby.

Due to our flight being canceled, we rebooked and had to make a last-minute hotel reservation near the airport. The price was affordable, and even though we arrived in Kunming at 1 am, there was still a free shuttle service. The room was spacious, well-equipped, and overall offered great value for money.

Booked this hotel as we had an early morning flight back to Singapore. Our booking included a free shuttle to the airport, which we booked upon our check-in. The ride to the airport was fast and safe. Unfortunately, there wasn't a free shuttle to/from the train station, so we took a taxi directly. Huge compliments to the concierge team! They were prompt in answering my queries on the delivery address as I planned to order some stuff from Taobao. My items got shipped to the locker instead of the concierge counter, and I was concerned I wouldn't have time for collection since we were scheduled to arrive at 11pm and check-out in a few hours at 4:30am. Upon my request, the concierge team was helpful and efficient in assisting to collect my items and had them ready for me upon check-in. The welcome cookie was a nice touch and the room was a great surprise as it was very clean, bright and included a bathtub which we didn't have time to use. Once again, many thanks to the concierge and reception team for your prompt assistance! It was a short few hours but a great experience at DoubleTree by Hilton Kunming Airport!

Apart from the Wi-fi which was terrible for the entire duration of a week (doesn't make sense how this can't be solved very easily, especially if the hotel is making enough money being fully booked). Everything else was absolutely excellent! 👌🏻 The staff are beyond friendly, kind and helpful. They really go out of their way to help (except for making an effort to contact the WiFi providers). I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could do a lot of my business by having access to printing facilities within the Hotel. The swimming pool is quite nice and the staff member was really friendly, giving me a swimming cap when I didn't have. They brought me towels and water to drink. The hotel robot is always a great convenience when it comes to deliveries as it brings the delivery to your room. Breakfast is pretty good just like any top hotel. I usually repeat my stays here.

Everything was good and the late check in is ok as well and tge most important it accept foreigner. The room is big but have smoke smell which is not comfortable to atay for a long period

I had a very comfortable stay at the hotel. The staff was very helpful. My room had a slight problem with the shower on the second day but the staff were able to solve it quickly. The location is a little bit far from Kunming Old Street and commercial areas, but it worked out alright for me. The staff had kindly informed me that there might be noise from the nearby KTV at night and offered a different room on a higher floor if that was a problem for me, but I wanted a room specifically with a bathtub so I stayed on the 5th floor. There was a little bit of noise on my second night but the hotel thoughtfully provides earplugs in the room, though the noise wasn’t loud enough for me to need them. The bathtub was amazing and the room was overall a great value for the money!

Ibis hotel is close the 3 train stations which make it easy to travel around. I was greeted by the receptionist and offered a great breakfast deal. Free welcome drink, biscuits while waiting for check- in. Besides, the hotel provides free self service laundry that is convenient for those who travel light.

The hotel has a heavenly bed. The room was super clean which I appreciated a lot after long travels. The reception staff were sweet and friendly. They helped me to book a taxi from the hotel because their shuttle bus service stops at 2:30PM. For travellers coming to Kunming from abroad note: bring cash RMB because you will need to pay the taxi, 40RMB two way ride. Taxi gives receipts. There is no public transportation such as bus or metro to the hotel area. Alternatively, you could download WeChat, didi applications. Unfortunately the hotel's wifi is weak and I was not able to download the apps. Otherwise enjoy a nice luxurious room with super comfy bed. Highly recommend the hotel.
