Kunming Guandu District Hotels

I arrived at the airport late the night before, but the hotel's pick-up service was perfectly arranged. The driver was already waiting, and even proactively helped with my luggage, completely saving me the hassle of finding a taxi in the middle of the night. Upon arrival, front desk staff member #6 was incredibly friendly and polite, and check-in was very efficient. She also thoughtfully informed me of all the important details. After a long and tiring journey, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made me feel so much better, and the room environment was also excellent. The overall service was impeccable, I highly recommend this hotel! It will definitely be my first choice next time I visit Kunming!

We were a family of two adults and one child, and we booked two king rooms. The front desk lady informed us that the king room type we booked was only 20 square meters and there was only one on each floor, which would make communication inconvenient for us. So, she kindly upgraded us for free to two 40-square-meter king rooms with city views right next to each other. The rooms were clean and airy, and the high-floor city view was absolutely stunning, perfect for watching the sunset. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The only minor issue was that the bed only had power outlets and switches on one side. Our child absolutely loved the bean bag chair! The projector offered a super large screen, and unlike most hotels where you can't watch anything without a video membership, at least the movie app here let us watch whatever we wanted, and the content was very up-to-date. The bathroom didn't have a smart toilet, but the shower water pressure was incredibly strong, and the water heated up in just a few seconds, making for a very comfortable shower experience. The hotel's location is also excellent, just a 10-minute walk from Kunming Railway Station, and most food delivery services can reach it. We originally booked for one night but ended up extending our stay to three nights plus half a day. A big shoutout to the front desk staff, both the gentlemen and ladies! Our flight was suddenly canceled, and we needed to contact the airline to rebook. Since we didn't have a local phone, the front desk staff lent us their phones multiple times, which was a huge help. We are very grateful!

This hotel is conveniently located near Kunming Railway Station, about a 7-8 minute walk away. Downstairs, there are bus stops for many routes, with #2 and #31 being particularly handy as they go directly to Kunming Old Street and Guandu Ancient Town. The room itself is spacious and comes with a mini-fridge. The bathroom is a little on the small side, but it's perfectly fine. On the 11th floor, there's a self-service laundry room next to a small gym. The hotel also offers a complimentary simple buffet breakfast, which is a nice convenience for guests.

The room was clean and tidy, with great natural light and ventilation. The bedding was soft and comfortable, making for a very good night's sleep. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in was quick. It's conveniently located with plenty of dining options downstairs. The bathroom had ample hot water, and the facilities were well-maintained. It offers excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next trip. Highly recommended!

To sum it up: full marks, absolutely full marks! Out of all the places I've stayed, honestly, this is one hotel that truly made me want to leave a genuine review. The owner is incredibly welcoming, and the service is fantastic. Seeing that we had a child with us, they even gave us a free upgrade to a family room. The hotel environment is excellent, and the design of the entrance and courtyard shows great taste. The room facilities are fully smart, clean, and hygienic. It's a truly rare and exceptional hotel. Finally, I have to say again, the owner's service is really outstanding – nine out of ten points definitely go to the owner, hahaha!

I chose this hotel after reading good reviews, and I'm glad I did! 1. First off, the front desk staff and everyone I encountered provided excellent service. 2. The room was spacious, and I loved the scent of the toiletries. 3. The morning airport shuttle was punctual and professional, and my wake-up call was right on time. 4. The coffee in the lobby was surprisingly smooth and delicious. All in all, this is a very thoughtful hotel, and I'll definitely choose it again for my next layover.

Loved our room, it was spacious but cosy enough for three people! It fit out large suitcases comfortably, the shower pressure was powerful and there was as smart toilet. The hotel is nice and modern, the lobby is big with a Chinese tea station. The breakfast selection was ample, there was a few types of noodle you can choose from. We stayed in B Block which the Front Desk said was quieter - and it was. Laundry was in A Block but the walk from B to A is quick. All the parcels are stored on shelves in the lobby, free for you to grab/find yourself. It is a bit of walk from the closest metro station (it is uphill) so maybe difficult if you have luggage, but luckily catching a taxi or calling a Didi was extremely easy in Kunming so best to travel by car if you can. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again!

The hotel's expansive lawn offers stunning scenery, perfect for a walk or taking amazing photos. The front desk staff were warm and patient, providing meticulous and thoughtful service. The hotel receptionists, as well as the owner and his wife, are all incredibly friendly and welcoming Sichuanese people. The facilities are excellent, especially the soundproofing, which is very effective. The room itself is spacious and well-appointed, featuring a full smart home system. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touch of providing two pillows—one high and one low—allowing guests to choose their preference. This attention to detail, combined with its proximity to the train station, makes it a top choice.

The room was exceptionally clean, with not a speck of dust on the floors, in the bathroom, or on the windowsills. The wet/dry separation in the bathroom was a thoughtful touch, and non-slip mats and shelves were all provided. The mattress was soft yet supportive, and the blackout curtains and soundproofing were excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel breakfast offered a great mix of Chinese and Western options, including porridge, pastries, fruit, and hot dishes, all tasting fresh. The self-service laundry room was a huge convenience for washing clothes after exploring. The location is super convenient with easy access to transportation, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The price was truly a bargain. It's genuinely clean, comfortable, and offers thoughtful amenities, living up to its 'Home Inn' name. It's definitely my top choice for accommodation when traveling. I've already recommended it to friends and will certainly be returning!
