Kunming Guandu District Hotels

I arrived at the airport late the night before, but the hotel's pick-up service was perfectly arranged. The driver was already waiting, and even proactively helped with my luggage, completely saving me the hassle of finding a taxi in the middle of the night. Upon arrival, front desk staff member #6 was incredibly friendly and polite, and check-in was very efficient. She also thoughtfully informed me of all the important details. After a long and tiring journey, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made me feel so much better, and the room environment was also excellent. The overall service was impeccable, I highly recommend this hotel! It will definitely be my first choice next time I visit Kunming!

This time I came to Kunming by train and chose the Holiday Inn Express very close to the North Exit. The location is incredibly convenient; you don't have to rush for high-speed trains or regular trains, saving you the hassle of traveling back and forth. The hotel is new, the room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a wet/dry separation, and hot water came quickly. The front desk staff were friendly, and check-in/check-out was very efficient. They also responded promptly to any issues. The breakfast selection was comprehensive, including some local simple dishes, perfect for fueling up before heading out to explore. The whole place was quiet, not noisy at all, making it suitable for business trips or as a stopover during travel. As an international chain brand, the quality is reliable and the price is fair. If you want a hassle-free trip, this is a great choice. I'll prioritize staying here again next time I visit Kunming. Highly recommended!

This hotel is quite good, offering excellent value for money. For just over 100 [currency, presumably CNY], they provide airport shuttle service, and even offer late-night snacks after 10 PM. Upon check-in, the front desk gives out small gifts – that crispy rice cracker (guoba) was delicious! The flower pastry (xianhuabing) was also good. The room was clean, and the hot water circulated quickly.

The rooms are clean and tidy, and they even offer airport drop-off service, which is highly recommended. Cleanliness: Very clean Environment: Beautiful Service: Warm and welcoming. I was very satisfied with my stay. Although the location isn't super prominent, the bedding and towels were new, and the whole place was clean and bright. It had large screens on the windows, so ventilation was excellent. The mattress was just right, not too soft or too hard, and there were two types of pillows, which was perfect for my tired back and neck. The shower had great pressure and strong water flow – I didn't want to get out! The hotel upgraded my room, so I had a lot of space for just one person. I didn't book breakfast, but I did go down for coffee and two eggs and observed that it looked quite good, better than at other Ramadas I've stayed in, so it's worth considering. It's close to the north entrance/exit of Kunming Railway Station, which is convenient for high-speed rail. The subway is a bit far (the exit is on the south side of the station), but Kunming isn't that big, and taking a taxi to places like Green Lake, Dianchi Lake, or Dounan isn't expensive.

This stay was a pleasant surprise! The hotel is only a 10-15 minute drive from the airport. It's located in a village, which makes the location a bit off the beaten path, but that's perfectly fine as they offer airport shuttle service. We arrived at Changshui Airport at 2 AM on our first day. After collecting our luggage, we contacted the hotel for pickup. Even though it was raining heavily that night, the hotel was fantastic and was already waiting for us in the parking lot. Since we had to catch a high-speed train to Dali the next day, the hotel even dropped us off at the nearby subway station. When we returned to Kunming on our last day, we chose to stay at this hotel again. The staff here are incredibly enthusiastic; they recommended local breakfast spots and hot pot restaurants, all of which were delicious and very affordable. Because it was pouring rain that day, the hotel even went out of its way to drive us to the restaurant for dinner. The hotel is a good distance from the airport, so it wasn't as noisy at night as I expected; if you don't listen carefully, you can barely hear the planes landing. I highly recommend this hotel for travelers transiting through Kunming or those who want to be close to the airport without the noise. On a side note, dining in the village where the hotel is located is super convenient. There are restaurants within a 100-meter walk from the hotel, and the food suited our out-of-town tastes perfectly. I've included the name of the hot pot restaurant we went to; it was genuinely affordable, tasty, and the portions were generous. If I have the chance, I would definitely choose to stay here again. The only downside is that there's no place to hang clothes or towels in the room, only in the bathroom. I hope the hotel can add some racks or hooks for guests to hang their belongings.

I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone with a one-night stay, especially if you have a late-night arrival or an early morning flight. Although there are no shops or restaurants within walking distance, the hotel itself is very comfortable. The rooms are modern, equipped with smart features, and the beds are very comfortable. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Breakfast offers a good variety of choices, and the restaurant staff are exceptionally warm and sincere. It was also a nice touch that they offered guests Yunnan’s famous rose biscuits to sample. The hotel is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the airport, making it an excellent choice for transit travelers. My only suggestion is to contact the hotel via WeChat in advance, especially for foreign visitor. Adding us on WeChat in advance before arrival makes communication much easier. We spent over 30 minutes waiting for the airport pickup because our phone calls went unanswered, even though the support line responded quickly once we got through. Overall, despite the pickup delay, I would definitely recommend this hotel for its comfort, excellent service, and convenient airport location.

Must be praised hotel ～ This is the most comfortable room we have stayed in this trip, but the price is the most affordable! Because the transition is early 7. The environment is particularly good, very quiet! The toilet is smart, the big bed is comfortable, and the sheets are very clean and tidy. The room is clean and hygienic, mainly because the space is very good! Great value experience, easy check-in in the lobby on the first floor, there is a pick-up and drop-off service ～ The front desk lady is gentle and polite, and the relaxing reception ～ We arranged a shuttle bus to send us the next morning at 5. I chose this hotel because I had a layover in Kunming before heading back to Tianjin, and it was close to the airport and had a piano. My daughter needs to practice regularly, and I was so pleasantly surprised by how nice everything was! The decor was simple yet stylish and felt very new. All the toiletries were still sealed, and the front desk service was attentive and thorough. Even the disposable slippers were plush! It's very family-friendly! I never usually leave reviews, but my daughter insisted. She said to give it 120 points! I told her there wasn't an option for 120 points, so she said to type it out instead.

Even though the hotel is in a somewhat rural location, it's very close to the airport and the shuttle service (pick-up and drop-off) is fantastic. As it's a new hotel, the room facilities are excellent and everything is very clean, especially the shower – the water pressure is really strong. The hotel also has its own small restaurant and a mini-mart, which pretty much covers your basic food needs. This little hotel was a complete surprise and a pleasant one at that!
