Kunming Chenggong District Hotels

The room layout is well-designed with a sofa and a desk. The bedding quality exceeded my expectations, and the pillows were the most comfortable I've had in days. The staff were warm and attentive, and the front desk lady was very gentle. The laundry room was also very useful. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing accommodation near Kunming South Station. I don't usually take photos, so I've included some real pictures of our room.

The hotel's location is excellent, offering views of Kunming South Railway Station while still being very quiet, ensuring a good night's rest. The staff are highly professional, warm, and attentive. We arrived at 10 PM, and despite a large number of guests checking in, the staff managed everything smoothly and efficiently. Special mention goes to Xing Guangfan, who provided incredibly thoughtful and detailed service. Not only did he meticulously explain all the hotel's services, but he also upgraded us to a lake view room on the 43rd floor, which offered a superb view. The mattress was just right—not too soft, not too hard—making for a comfortable sleep, and the Philips TV had excellent picture quality. The breakfast spread was comprehensive, with both Chinese and Western options. Plus, the shuttle service to the high-speed train station was incredibly convenient and heartwarming. For anyone traveling by high-speed rail, choosing this hotel is an absolute breeze and a pleasure. Highly, highly recommended!

I initially booked this hotel online without much thought, and honestly, the value for money is absolutely incredible. The lobby greeted me with a lovely floral scent, and the front desk staff were professional and efficient, making check-in super fast. They patiently answered all my questions, and when they found out we enjoyed watching sports, they even upgraded us to a deluxe cinema king room. Watching the World Cup on the 120-inch screen was fantastic! The room was spotless, the bathroom had no strange odors or water stains, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The whole room was well-ventilated and felt fresh. The facilities were well-maintained and looked new; the lighting, hot water, and air conditioning all worked perfectly. The soundproofing was excellent, so I wasn't bothered by any hallway noise. Downstairs, it's right next to Wanda Plaza, and just a bit further is Qicai Yunnan No.1 City, so you can find any kind of food you're craving. Unfortunately, it's been raining a lot in Kunming recently. I went out without an umbrella, got caught in the rain, and started feeling a bit sick. I ordered some medicine and filled in the address provided by the front desk, but after waiting over half an hour, it still hadn't arrived. My phone even showed it as delivered. I called the delivery driver to ask where it was, and it turned out he had delivered it to the wrong building. He refused to come back and redeliver it, and then hung up on me, which made me furious. I asked the front desk for help finding my medicine. When they learned I had a cold, they brought me a cup of hot water for my medicine and thoughtfully brought an umbrella, reminding me that it's rainy season in Kunming and it's better to carry one. Their service truly warmed my heart. I will definitely be strongly recommending this place to my friends here.

The room layout was well-designed, stylishly decorated, spacious, bright, and comfortable. Since I stayed for eight days, I received a complimentary upgrade to a south-facing room. I've previously stayed at Mengjing hotels in Xishuangbanna and downtown Kunming, and I've always been impressed by their focus on service and hygiene. That's why I chose Mengjing again this time. The breakfast was a bit limited, but it was enough to fill me up and tasted good. The cook also kept the area very clean. Although the central air conditioning in each room could be individually adjusted, it wasn't very effective. The front desk staff kindly provided me with an electric heater, which solved my heating issue. The young lady at the front desk was consistently polite and helpful. I'm very grateful for her assistance during my stay. While the hotel aims for good value for money, I hope they can improve the overall comfort. Due to the affordable price, many guests with less desirable etiquette also stay here. There was smoking everywhere, loud conversations in the hallway until 2 or 3 AM, and a general disregard for others. Additionally, the soundproofing isn't as good as an apartment, so I was often woken up in the middle of the night. It seems the hotel is struggling to address this issue.

I've stayed here several times now. It's right in Colorful Yunnan, and there are plenty of restaurants downstairs, making dining incredibly convenient. The rooms are uniquely designed and very spacious. For the same price, I doubt you could find another hotel with rooms this large. The attention to detail in the room's decor is also very thoughtful. They even provide a washing machine and a drying rack, which is a huge plus since it's often hard to find a place to dry clothes after washing them. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a fantastic view of a sizable lake. You can sit and enjoy panoramic views of the lake and the city. Overall, my experience was extremely satisfying.

Arriving late at night from Kunming South Station, I chose the Hilton Garden Inn because they offer a shuttle service, which you just need to book in advance by phone. The service was thoughtful and thorough. All the hotel staff were very welcoming and had great attitudes. The only downside is that the restaurant is quite small, so I had to wait for a table at breakfast, which I guess means it's a popular hotel.

The overall experience far exceeded other hotels in the same category. The facilities are well-maintained, hot water supply is stable, and the lighting creates a soft, pleasant ambiance. The staff are polite and respond quickly to requests. The hallways are clean and free of clutter. Downstairs, there are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants, making transportation very convenient. The value for money was much better than expected, I truly recommend it.

Very small-bourgeois homestay, very quiet and comfortable, everyone in the homestay is very warm and thoughtful, the proprietress of the homestay also drove us to Haitang Village, we also shared fruit, chatted and drank tea together in the evening, it was very beautiful and unforgettable 🥰 I prepared a delicious rice noodles in the morning, if it weren’t for the need to hurry, I really want to stay a few more days. When I parted, everyone was reluctant. I was a little sorry that I couldn’t have a meal together. I look forward to meeting again ❤️.

The location is fantastic, within walking distance of the South Station, and very convenient with plenty of amenities nearby. The room was cozy and thoughtfully designed, with excellent attention to detail, including a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom and soft bedding. The front desk service was incredibly attentive, proactively helping us plan our itinerary. It truly felt like a home away from home.
