Kunming Xishan District Hotels

Having traveled to over 20 countries, this is my first time reviewing an accommodation. When you're on the road, you often miss home. But not here! We booked the Loft, with a living room on the first floor and a bedroom on the second, it felt just like home. We enjoyed tea daily, and the hotel even provided complimentary afternoon tea. The 24-hour butler service was excellent, always available and responsive. They thoughtfully prepared a travel guide for us. The daily breakfast was a delicious mix of Chinese and Western options! We will definitely be back.

The hotel facilities are complete and meet daily accommodation needs. The hygiene is excellent; the entire place is very clean and tidy. The environment is also great, very quiet, and I had a wonderful rest. The staff are very warm and attentive, and they patiently resolved any issues promptly. The cleanliness is top-notch. I was very satisfied with my stay, a truly satisfying experience. I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. The staff were very welcoming, and the rooms were clean and hygienic. The buffet breakfast was a delicious mix of Western and Chinese options, and having it available until 11 am was perfect for families traveling with children who might wake up later. We didn't have to rush my granddaughter to eat breakfast; she could just wake up and eat whenever she was ready. My only regret is that I didn't take any pictures of our trip to post alongside the hotel photos.

I checked into the Mengjing Wangyue Courtyard Hotel on August 21st, and my experience was absolutely amazing! This Chinese-style courtyard hotel, tucked away next to the Jinma Biji Archway on Kunming's Nanping Pedestrian Street, makes you feel relaxed the moment you step in. With its two courtyards, arhat pine bonsai, ancient well, and fish pond, even the air carries the scent of Pu'er tea – it perfectly balances tranquility with its bustling surroundings. The room features a black and white new Chinese style. The bedding was clean and soft, with yellow throw pillows and a bed runner adding just the right touch. The bathroom has a wet and dry separation, and all the fixtures have a brass finish – a detail-lover's dream! The biggest surprise was breakfast: freshly cooked Crossing-the-Bridge Noodles with a rich broth and a wide variety of toppings. The front desk staff, a few young ladies, were incredibly warm and helpful. They not only assisted with luggage and recommended local delicacies but also thoughtfully suggested old-fashioned snack shops nearby, giving clear directions. The hotel's public area also offers free refreshments and various experiences. Spending an evening in the courtyard, sipping Dianhong tea and watching the fish swim, felt like traveling back to the slow pace of old Kunming. The location is also unbeatable. It's a 6-minute walk to the Jinma Biji Archway, and Ri Jin Lou is right across the street, making it a one-stop shop for exploring, eating, and taking photos. Next time I'm in Kunming, I'll definitely stay here again – it's not that other hotels are struggling, it's just that this one perfectly balances ”local culture” and ”comfortable experience”!

The front desk service was incredibly attentive! I booked this hotel randomly for my trip, and overall, my stay was very comfortable. Check-in was quick; I didn't have to wait long. The front desk staff were down-to-earth, and communication was easy and pleasant. Any issues I brought to them were resolved quickly. The room looked simple, but the cleanliness was truly excellent; even the corners were spotless. The bedding was dry and fresh, making for a very reassuring stay. The shower had great water pressure, and the hot water came on quickly, which was really relaxing after a tiring day of exploring. The room was quiet, undisturbed by outside noise, leading to excellent sleep quality. The location was very convenient, with plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby, and it was easy to get a taxi. There weren't any fancy, unnecessary features, but everything essential was there, making it incredibly practical. Compared to many other places in the same price range, this hotel is genuinely straightforward and offers great value for money.

The hotel is small yet exquisite, with a beautiful wooden design. The bamboo forest outside the window is very relaxing. It's conveniently located right at the entrance of the Folk Culture Village, making it easy to explore. Food, accommodation, and entertainment options are all readily available nearby. The hostess is gentle and beautiful, making conversations very pleasant and she is very considerate of guests. It was the Torch Festival, so there were many activities in the Folk Culture Village, making it a great place to stay and enjoy at a leisurely pace.

Right next to a popular local market, and across from KFC, Nan Xiaozhu, and Grandma's Kitchen. The place is clean with no strange smells, and well-equipped. The front desk even has a fridge. My room had great natural light. The simple breakfast, including freshly cooked rice noodles, is served on the 8th floor in an open area with a lovely river view. Hot water in the room was consistently good, and the concierge group chat provided very prompt service. Excellent value for money!

Full marks, highly recommended! The EVEN Hotel by InterContinental Kunming Dianchi Lake is the top choice for a Dianchi Lake getaway! The hotel lobby is located on the 8th floor, offering breathtaking views of Dianchi Lake and the Sleeping Beauty Hills (Western Hills). The sunset views are especially therapeutic. As a brand focused on health and wellness, EVEN Hotel boasts unique details: rooms come with yoga mats, resistance bands, and a white noise system for better sleep, allowing guests to maintain their fitness routine even on long trips. The rooms are new, clean, and feature a simple yet refreshing design, with very comfortable Sealy mattresses for a restful sleep. The Food and Beverage restaurant offers a rich breakfast selection, including authentic Yunnan copper pot rice noodles. Enjoying breakfast while admiring the lake view is an excellent experience. The hotel also features a 24-hour gym, self-service laundry room, and a kids' club, making it suitable for both family vacations and business trips. The location is superb, very close to Haihong Wetland Park and Haigeng Dam, making lakeside strolls very convenient. Tom was warm, attentive, and responded promptly. Overall, the value for money is excellent. This is my top choice when visiting Kunming Dianchi Lake, and I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to the Spring City!

Our overall stay exceeded expectations. The hotel boasts an elegant Chinese-style ambiance, and the service was attentive and thoughtful. A staff member even contacted us the day before check-in to provide information about the hotel. The room was clean and tidy. The hotel's location is fantastic, right within Jinmafang and across from Nanping Street, making it very convenient for getting around. Highly satisfied and strongly recommend!

This is indeed a courtyard hotel, and it's incredibly quiet. As soon as you enter, there's a bar with a fridge, and the TV is huge, with seamless screen mirroring from my phone. The wet and dry areas are completely separate: the washbasin, shower, and toilet are all in individual sections. The mattress is just right, not too soft or too firm, and there's a choice of regular pillows and memory foam pillows, so I slept very comfortably. There was a stack of bottled water on the table by the door, which was very convenient to grab on the way out. Plus, the staff's service attitude was excellent. All in all, I'm very satisfied!
