Rhythm Kumarakom

Rhythm Kumarakom provides exceptional customer service, comfortable and spacious rooms, and a great location with stunning views. However, guests were dissatisfied with the limited and poor quality of breakfast options.

The front desk and reception staff was terrible. We got a v cold welcome and the sandwiches ordered for my senior citizen mother came after 2 hrs of running around the property ourselves. The room was in a dilapidated shape, dirty towels and footmat. The walls were chipped in 312, not maintained and the washroom flush was not working. Since we had travel-led from thekkady a 3 hr journey to kumarakom, we had requested for sandwiches for my mother when we reached and gave her sugar meds. Little did we know that we would have to run around for 2 pieces of sandwiches for almost 2 hrs and make umpteen calls and visits to the reception. Highly unprofessional and unwelcoming reception staff. Inf-act we felt they didn’t understand our language and looked at us blankly only nodding their heads with no action. The abhor-able behaviour of the reception staff completely put us off. They were rude and indifferent making us feel unwelcome. The manager mr jyothish visited us and was apologetic but the experience had already been marred. Only saving grace was the chef gopi and his team who were polite and excellent food was served. Mr abhishek and housekeeping for rooms was courteous & hospitable too. Overall will not recommend rhythm at all, at the current state of affairs, it seems they are short staffed and overworking their people also. They really need to shape up, step up their training, teach soft skills to their staff, inf-act teach them how to welcome guests and be polite at the least. At least maintain the property. At the cost we paid it was disappointing to get this kind of dis-service.

The setting is beautiful. The lawns are well maintained. The pool is the highlight. The rooms are decent. There is no room service..it's mostly self-service. Housekeeping was understaffed.The food is Ok, nothing much to comment on...basic. The live musical entertainment during dinner was enthralling though... They should have a solution to decrease the mosquitos outside the rooms as that prevents from sitting out and enjoying a drink by the pool.
