The accommodation is a temple, which is a luxury. These are Japanese-style rooms. In our case, the bathroom is shared. There are enough toilets and a common bathing area, a bit small, which can be used with tattoos. Our reservation included breakfast and dinner in the room, both meals are vegetarian. We didn't know what some things were, but everything was good. For me, the weak point is that I thought there would be a bit more interaction with the monks, in the sense that you would share spaces. The monks attend to your needs but nothing more. The reservation included a "calligraphy workshop" which consists of giving you a piece of paper so that you can copy the symbols by yourself in the room. Also an introduction to meditation, which there were too many people. Participation in the morning service and the fire rite is something that they do exclusively for the people staying there. There are two monks who do the service and they direct you, since the rest of the monks do not participate. In other countries I have been allowed to observe the ritual they perform from the back rows, but this is not the case here. I think it is too tourist-oriented.
