The Chilli Paneer and the Chicken Tikka were amazing! We were also celebrating our anniversary, and they had decorated our table to make it special! Good rooftop ambience with friendly service, a go-to place. Nice place to have a good time with friends or family.

7 th December 2024,, I was booked the banquet for a buisness meeting purpose,,, approximately 6/7 hrs we spend there,,,the food was really excellent,,and all staffs,,,,like Mr Pawan,,Mr Arijit,,,Mr Soham,,,and finally the banquet Manager Mr Sourav was fabulous,,,they all highly contributed the best service,,,,we all very pleased for that,,thank you

The property is a 100 year plus old heritage hotel. Very well maintained. Staff are very friendly. Service is excellent. Breakfast spread is too good.

We are Australians travelling in Kolkata and by miracle came upon this hotel on ***********. Aside from the charm of this colonial heritage building the staff are the real magic of this hotel. Thank you to Sanjay in particular for keeping us entertained at the restaurant with his friendly attitude and great touring advice. By the end of our trip we really felt we got to know him as even a friend !! And a massive thanks to Arijit, Jagadish and Risha who kept our rooms looking fabulous and clean every day. There’s no better hotel in Kolkata, right in the centre of the city. Walking distance from Victoria memorial palace and Birla Planetarium. And short drives from big shopping malls and markets. I would especially recommend this hotel if you are coming from Australia or similar country as the staff here will quickly get you on your toes and feeling comfortable in such a busy city. Thank you !!

The hotel is aesthetic. The staff are extremely courteous. Avijit,Gopal and Rahul ensured that my stay was good and peaceful. If you are visiting Kolkatta, staycat the Astor for ambience, food and the heritage feel. I would definitely be staying at the Astor during my subsequent visits with my family

Great feel of the place, friendly staff, great food, old school charm in place , special mention of Siddharth , Risa and Abhijit. They helped the older people of group to climb the stairs. The historical artifacts makes it all worth the time.

Short stay
A hotel to be clearly avoided on the weekends. Reached late on Friday night and checked in at @1am. But could not sleep even thereafter - pulsating music from the night club went on till the wee hours of the morning and it is clearly heard in the room! Otherwise service was good - wifi was good and the location is quite convenient
