"Very upmarket resort right on the beach . Stayed 2 nights for a birthday bash and 2nd night was booked via trip. The room via Trip was poor with a view of a side wall and whilst a large room was badly designed without a desk . Also no breakfast included for a high room rate .when you book ensure you ask for seaview room . Service was very good throught out the stay , quality food but not inexpensive ,"

Cooled with gentle breezes coming up from the lake, a 15 metre infinity pool, a quiet ambalama, and fuelled with the cook’s excellent curries and western dishes, we have fortified ourselves to tackle our next experience - walking in the tea country just north of here. The villa has four bedrooms and bathrooms and excellent staff."

"My stay at Koggala Beach Hotel was a truly delightful beach experience. From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed by friendly and attentive staff who made check-in smooth and offered helpful suggestions for exploring the area. The location is one of the strongest points: right on the sand of Koggala Beach, the view from our sea-view room was stunning — every morning waking up to the sound of waves and a wide horizon made for the perfect vacation mood. The outdoor pool is well-placed and relaxing, just steps from the beach, so you can alternate between swimming in the pool and strolling down to the shore. Our room was comfortable and well-equipped — air-conditioning worked well, there was a balcony facing the sea and the cleaning staff did a solid job keeping everything fresh each day. Breakfast was another highlight: a good selection with continental and Sri Lankan options, and the buffet included something for everyone. On the food front, dinner at the hotel restaurant was enjoyable with a mix of international and Sri Lankan cuisine, and the beachside setting added to the charm. Even though the hotel isn’t ultra-luxury, it offered a relaxing, laid-back stay which is exactly what I was after. In short: if you’re looking for a beach-front stay on Sri Lanka’s south coast, with comfort, sea views, friendly service and good value, Koggala Beach Hotel is a terrific pick. I would definitely return for another chilled-out holiday."
