"Went for 2 days, and staff didn't understand me. Rooms were dirty and there was only one staff at breakfast making food and taking orders. Pool was dirty. It took an hour for me to wait for prawns because he didn't understand what I said. Food was fine . The electricity kept turning on and off and they ran out of water while I was taking a shower. Next time I won't be coming here and it overrated."

"Had booked a room . Saw the condition when I reached the property and decided to not stay. They didn't refund the whole booking amount as well. Decent location but the basic room is a little substandard with a weird dishwashing wash basin in the bed room. The bathroom also doesn't have a privacy near the window. Had to request for room freshners as they don't provide by default. Johnson at the property is welcoming. Vishvam the incharge isn't very approachable and difficult to get in touch with and not cooperative. Would overall not recommend."

"It is an old colonial building with plenty of character. The public areas are delightful and the pool is good. We had a good room, but limited views - I guess that’s the nature of the building - and ventilation. It was charming, but getting a little tatty round the edges. Breakfast was OK, but we’ve had better for the money we paid. You are located by the Chinese fishing nets in the centre of the old town - a good spot for us to stay."

"Had a lovely stay with friends for 1 night. Situated in Forum Mall it is easy to access the mall and multiplex etc. Decent rooms with a good view. Going down to the restaurant can get a bit tricky as the restaurant is situated as part of the mall. All in all a wonderful experience."

"Fort House Hotel is well located at the water’s edge. Rooms are large and clean with a large comfortable bed. The shower had ample hot water. The restaurant is very good. The setting with its beautiful gardens is calm and relaxing.!But be aware that there is currently building work taking place close by and that the sea view does take in the port for container ships."
