Location at sunset beach and need to walk to walking street. Low water pressure. No TV in the room. But gave minibar fridge is a plus point. Restaurant near the beach but the beach is dirty. Mojito at THB100 is good.

The hotel is in a great location for watching the sunset. The beach is a bit small, and the cabins are quite affordable. The sunset and ocean view are beautiful! However, I heard there are garbage boats that can be quite smelly, so be careful.

There is no air conditioning in the room and it is extremely hot. It warmed me up in the middle of the night.

The room facilities are old but the location is great. The entire Koh Lipe is very small and there are no travel problems. There are not many tourists and the privacy is good. You can go snorkeling without going out to island hopping. The price is reasonable and suitable for vacation. It is a good experience.

The owner is very enthusiastic. Although the room is not big, it has everything you need. There is a balcony to watch the sea, and the private beach to watch the sunset is very beautiful~ The restaurant charges are reasonable, and the food is Thai food, which is not bad. Sitting in the restaurant, you can see the small fish swimming in the sea. Overall good value for money. We changed hotels the next day and we were going to sea. The owner sent our luggage to the new hotel and made arrangements. It was great! ! !

Bayview Resort Koh Lipe: Overpriced, rude staff, unsafe grounds, trash-filled beach, and poor service. Held our booking ransom and called us ‘dumb’ for finding a cheaper rate elsewhere. Avoid. Dirty and bad service and food. Disgusting !

Disgusting rancid smell from the garbage boat anchored 30 meters upwind. Hotel management know it is coming and still take bookings!!! It is a health hazard and the hotel should be closed when the boat is here. Very deceitful and dishonest.

The bungalows are not very clean - our bathroom sink/ walls had not been cleaned well for a while We were unlucky to stay for 3 days when the bin boat was mored next to the resort - the smell and flies were horrendous . Although the breakfasts were good- eating them in the restaurant by the last morning was impossible. The rubbish boat comes twice a month for 3/4 days at a time at the begining and end - avoid these times! We moved to a different resort for the next few days which was cheaper and 100% better-

Dirt, dust, animals entering the room. 0/10 I advise against anyone who wants to spend their holidays quietly. Far from any store or restaurant. This visit was the worst during a several-month trip to Asia. I advise against the worst enemy.

Only went to the bar and didn’t stay at the resort. Fabulous place at the end of Sunset Beach. Really friendly staff, amazing views and the best mojitos for only 100baht from 3pm onwards! Only thing I would say to be careful of is the toilet up the cliff and perched precariously overlooking the bay. If you’ve had too many mojitos best to go in the sea instead for fear of falling off the edge getting in and out the loo!

I suspect wherever you stay on this island you'll leave happy - it is just a beautiful vibe. This accommodation was nice. Pretty basic, but safe and you got your own space. Didn't have hot water for the shower, but I guess that's just part of the island experience. The food and staff were really helpful - getting around the island was easy the staff are always looking to offer lifts and help you, and very cheaply.

Summary; Backpacker level of quality accommodation at a hotel price. We checked out immediately and went to a hotel. Details below (✅ Good, 🟠 Ok & ❗️Bad) ✅ Location; I don't think there is a bad location anywhere on Koh Lipe tbh. Sunset Beach is a very quiet beach, but is only a 5 min taxi from everywhere. The resort has a complimentary taxi you can use. 🟠 Accommodation; the sea room we had was basic - ok for backpackers but not if you're on a weeks holiday. It's a traditional beach shack with a bed & small bathroom. There was aircon but surprisingly no mosquito net. ❗️Price; at the price we paid for this resort we expected better. Ultimately we left and went to another hotel which was pretty much the same price. ❗️Safety; Would not reccomend if you have children - the walkway/balcony in front of our sea view villa was perilous. The wobbly handrail looked like it could be pushed over easily. I understand these are traditional shacks built on a cliff but this can't be safe.

avoid! Toxic. not sure what is more toxic, the rooms bug spray/wood treatment or the Owner of the resort. we were attracted by the photos of this place and did not mind the costly (3000TBat) simple accommodation a bid out of town. when checking in there was an intense chem smell in the room, we figured it will go away but after returning in the evening it was still dominant. (we requested a different room, but ower as not interested in moving us. asked if we can chancel the additional 2 days and get a refund. absolutely no way (she was getting paid in cash) when mentioning to the owner, this is a bad business practice that only will lead to a negative review she absolutely when ballistic, jelling, and storming around the office, and in the end, we packed up lost our 6000TBat and move to a great place. I feel sad for the staff that has to work there

If you're looking for somewhere beautiful and relaxing to stay on Lipe, I highly recommend you DON'T stay at Bayview Sunset Resort or Bayview Hill. These two places are one and the same and if you're unfortunate like us, the cabins come with white mould over every surface, the deck outside your room is likely to collapse when you stand on it, there are holes in the roof with water pouring through electric lights and the customer service is atrocious, non existent and NOT customer focused at all! We had a fantastic week with them in March and so booked again for the start of November but due to the serious health and safety issues there we had to leave after 3 nights. Despite assuring *********** they'd refund me they have not, they are ignoring all my attempts at contact with them and I do not feel they will ever issue the refund we are due. I paid over £300 for one week and had to leave after 3 nights so there is 4 full nights refund due of 8,179 Baht. The first night my Husbands foot went through the deck outside our room and injured his leg in the process. The next day we were moved to another room that had white mould on every single surface, the woodwork, the floor, the sofa. Everything in the cabin was damp to the touch and it stunk. Not wanting to complain I went and got cleaning products and attempted to clean it myself, it reappeared within hours. The next day we woke to rain pouring through the roof in two places, one dripping through the electric light and one directly into my suitcase. There was also a leak above the door which had totally saturated the curtains. We told the owner Lucas we were going to stay elsewhere and he firstly offered us to stay at his new ******** hotel and he'd give us a cheap deal....considering we'd already paid for a week and leaving on day 3 we refused. We booked accommodation elsewhere and the contrast was like night and day. We finally had a clean, dry and decent place to stay. Lucas agreed we could have a refund and that we'd get it within 10-15 days, we are now on day 26 and still no refund. I am still being ignored and I just want to warn others that are thinking of staying here not to. Koh Lipe us beautiful, don't let this absolute hovel ruin your time on Lipe. Yes, I have an axe to grind and I will continue to do so until I get my refund, Any self respecting business owner would rectify this but they flat out ignore all correspondence. All I can say is SHAME ON YOU Lucas and Bayview.
