The location of the hotel is quite convenient, the staff's service attitude is good! But the facilities in the room are not ideal! First, when I booked a room from Trip.com, the fee I paid was a "premium king double room", but after arriving at the hotel, the store even downgraded me and arranged your "standard twin room" for me, return Some in-room bathroom shower is broken, the employee did not change the room for me, just briefly handled it.

We booked this hotel based on other reviews, so we were very disappointed that we did not have a good experience. Initially, we were booked into a twin instead of a double, but ended up staying in the twin as it wasn't a big deal. Unfortunately, the evening meal in the restaurant was a disaster. The menu SOUNDED good, but the food was terrible. The starters were awful. Prawn cocktail consisted of a bowl with just some shredded lettuce, tiny defrosted shrimp (not prawns), and a bit of onion (no sauce). Garlic mushrooms were a bowl filled with some sort of garlic sauce and slices of mushroom mixed through. I ordered the salmon with cauliflower cheese, broad beans and roast potatoes. The salmon was cold and had a sauce on top that was still thick and cold. All the vegetables were from frozen, including the roast potatoes and the whole thing had clearly been reheated in a microwave from earlier in the day. My husband had pork with yourshire puddings and the same vegetables, again, all reheated. Yorkshires were inedible. The meal was a very poor standard. We've eaten out a lot over the years, and I can honestly say, I was never handed such a bad meal anywhere. It looked like there was no chef in the kitchen, just someone reheating things from earlier in the day and dishing things up. When I complained to the waitress, she did not deny the food was reheated, but asked if we would like something else. We declined. I asked at the desk for the manager and was informed they were not there. I asked for the manager again in the morning..still absent. I spoke to the lady at the front desk, who apologised and refunded me for the meal. It's a budget hotel, we weren't looking for anything fancy, but anyone booking a table for 8pm in a hotel (or anywhere) would expect the food to be freshly cooked and hot, and not to end up with food poisoning. Absolutely terrible, I only gave 1 star, because there's no option for 0. Eat elsewhere...

Just back from a few days in Kingussie, where I spent some quality time walking and cycling around the area with my son. We had an incredible view from our third-floor room, looking out over the stunning Cairngorm mountain range. One evening, the bar hosted a talented folk guitarist, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere with plenty of guest interaction. There was a large car park at the back, which was perfect for our van, and the receptionist kindly let us store our bikes indoors overnight for added security. We dined in the bar each evening—the food was delicious and generously portioned. The bar staff even encouraged my son to try venison for the first time, which he absolutely loved! All in all, it was a fantastic getaway filled with great experiences and special memories made with my son.

Great atmosphere in the hotel with very attentive staff. It was nice relaxing at the bar after a few hours on the hills. There are lots of walks from the door step especially to the summit of Creag Bheag high up behind the hotel and then across some fields to the old ruins of Ruthven Barracks.

Recently returned from Kingussie after a few days away walking & cycling in the area with my son. Unbelievable views from our room on the 3rd floor overlooking the Cairngorm mountain range. The bar had a very talented guy playing folk guitar on one evening making for a great atmosphere with lots of participation from fellow guests. Massive car park at the rear for our van and the receptionist even let us bring our bikes inside so they were safe overnight. We ate in the bar every night, the food was tasty and plentiful and the bar staff encouraged my son to try venison for the first time which he loved! All in all a great time away making memories with my son.

Staying at a BnB in town and popped in as advertised local ales outside ……. Well they certainly didn’t disappoint absolutely amazing range of beer and cider from the local cairngorm brewery can’t remember the last time I saw a bar with such a selection of craft ales. Will be back at the weekend to sample the lunches.

Stayed here earlier this month and have to say we had a great stay! Staff were exceptional and always happy to help, even carrying my bag to my room for me as I'm not as able as I once was. Ate in the restaurant first night and bar lunch the next day as we were dining at a friends. Service was fast and friendly and the food was lovely. Great stay overall and would happily return.
