Peaceful Maine Home with Mountain Views

Great Place with Plenty of Space My friend and I stayed here for a week and the house has plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked with the usual, but also contained extras like spices and oils.Having just two of us, my friend took the first floor master bedroom/bathroom while I took the second floor that contained two bedrooms and a bathroom. I started off on the softer mattress in one bedroom, but after one night's sleep it was a bit too soft for me. I switched to the other room with two beds, both very firm memory foam. My body/back ended up liking the very firm bed instead. You do sink down just a little, but sleep quality was very good.The house is in Kingfield and a bit off the main area. I may recommend snow tires or 4wd/AWD to get up the driveway. I had an AWD SUV, my friend a FWD with snow tires. With snow covering the driveway up to the house, I imagine it'd be difficult without either.Last thing worth mentioning is although there is WiFi, it was a bit slow. Testing measured about 20 mbps download. I ended up using my Verizon 5G cell service instead as I was getting about 80 mbps with it. My friend's cell service was non-existent here though.

better than expected... ...and that's a lot, because we had high expectations. The kitchen was well stocked and the hosts were always a quick phone call away. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the house is close to town but tucked away for privacy too. We'll inquire about another stay next time we ski Sugarloaf.
