Pros: Beautiful hotel built with it's locality at heart. The Swahili architecture in the rooms especially is top notch. Big, clean rooms with views and balcony. Great staff, Amisi at reception and George at the restaurant were exceptional. Kilifi itself is beautiful so would visit again. P/s - if you can, please visit the spa! Cons: Food was average (buffet dinner and breakfast). These have great room for improvement.

Everything nice a part from sone wired foggy smell when you get to the rooms .if you spray them and give some good smell then we are good to go ,so big rooms with enough space for couples or family.So few internal work and we are good to go.Thanks alot

I was given an upgrade for the room, however service at the restaurant was very slow, there was not much variety with the food and very similar daily. Lunch time menu is a’la carte and not much choice. The phone in the room was not working and tv channels only worked once in the 4 days I was staying at the hotel. The 1 bed apartment was clean, spacious and very comfortable.

We chose this hotel because we wanted peace and quiet and deep relaxation for 3 days. Booking was very simple using WhatsApp channel and we were lucky to get a 10% discount. Food on day one and two was absolutely phenomenal. Simply delicious. The chefs went out of their way to make conventional dishes and each was perfect. We were put up in the two bedroom suite. It was clean and the beds very comfortable. The shower had excellent pressure and hot water was available 24/7. Having a pool all to ourselves was a big plus. Given that it was just before the festive season, they had music playing all day long at the pool area. Must’ve been awesome for many guests but for us a nuisance as it was difficult to relax with all the noise. The hotel is on a cliff but you can access the beach by descending a few steps. The beach is stunning, clean, expansive with soft white sand. Not as many beach boys as you would find in Mombasa. It was my husband’s birthday and they put a lovely happy birthday decor on the bed before our arrival. Unfortunately when I requested that they sing for him during dinner using a slice of one of the dessert cakes, they declined saying that we had to pay ksh3500 for a cake to facilitate this. I found this absurd given that in all the other hotels I have ever requested for this, they were more than happy to do it without any such limitations. Turn down service only includes putting down the mosquito nets and closing the curtains. They do not replenish used towels nor clean used glasses during this time. We found this weird as all the other establishments we have stayed in take care of this no problem. However if you ask for fresh towels, they are happy to provide them as per your request. At the pool area you get a feel that liberal use of towels is not particularly encouraged. Also note that they do not provide face towels, you would have to request for them to be provided. Once you ask for them on day one, they will continue to provide them throughout your stay. Their towels are very white and in excellent condition/quality. We had three other isolated yet disheartening incidents which I shared with the team during check out. I am happy that the lady who took the feedback took it well and was very apologetic. I am sure that they will be able to address them for the comfort of future clients.

Our stay was incredible. We absolutely loved the swim up suite. The bathroom was priceless with endless hot water and room for two... The bedroom was so relaxing with the view of the pool. Not to mention how soft the pillows and sheets are. The mattress puts you in heaven. Relaxing on the patio overlooking the pool with the breeze off the ocean was a different level of peace. The bougain villa on the pergola was awesome. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The restaurant was delicious and offered delivery to the room or placing a table down by the beach for an ocean view while you eat. This was one of the top places I have stayed. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

We were met at the door by a talkative soup merchant only to find out he is the affable resort manager Paul Kurgat. (Chamge Paul!) Subsequently Salome at reception checked us in swiftly and we only met her when we were checking out courtesy of Kevin, Brian the Intern, Linda Timisi, and a host of many staff members who ensured our stay was amazing. And what was that BBQ Chicken Mushroom Pizza nom now nom. Special thanks to our hosts Andy and Alis whose wedding we attended and was expertly curated by the resort. :)) I am coming back soon.
