"Lovely hotel with helpful friendly staff. Ultra laid back. Kept very clean, beautiful location, great rooms, nice pool, and food service was good. If you are looking for a hotel with lots of partying and activities on offer this is probably not the place for you….this is more somewhere to take it easy, probably in between excursions and going on safari. Only slight criticisms, which is no fault of the hotel, is that the beach whilst lovely, could also do with a bit more regular cleaning. Also to get anywhere like shops, cafes, restaurants you need to take a taxi or tuk tuk. But otherwise a great stay and somewhere that I will have fond memories of. Also look out for the cute family of monkeys who come to visit!"

"The good reviews are all from quite long time ago. Now, I could see why for myself. The state of this place nowadays is an impudence. If you arrive half of the amenities are not working, old, broken, mouldy and rusty. At the same time they charge you as if they were a luxury place. Later I found a place in Kilifi for less money which was actually new and much nicer. If you order food you get tiny portions at double the price from restaurants in town which will actually be four times the price as you`re gonna have to order a second portion to fill your stomach/achieve a normal portion. The owner herself is a terribly unfriendly woman and a liar. I can only recommend: Stay away from that place."
