Ridley House - Key West Historic Inns

We have stayed at many different locations in Key West but I have to say the Ridley House has provided us with the best Chef prepared breakfast. The 1st morning the special was freshly made waffles with blueberry compote and it was excellent. The 2nd morning the special was Eggs Benedict and again it was delicious. We also had an order of scrambled eggs and they were truly scrambled not a plain omelette cut into pieces like you get at a lot of restaurants. Kudos to the Chefs! There were plenty of other items nicely displayed for breakfast. You won’t go away hungry. As for the room, it was what we expected from an 1880s building in the Keys. Large room with a king bed and a sofa. The A/C was the only issue since it blew directly on the bed. As you can imagine it did keep us cool after a day outside in the 90s. We had an exceptionally large bathroom with a big walk-in shower. The room faced Simonton Street and was a bit noisy at times. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again but select a different room.

Good breakfast wish it had more of a meat selection.....and climbing the stairs to the room was a little bit exhausting at times.

Nice, historic hotel within great walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Comfy bed, clean room.

Perfect Location, Excellent Service, Pet Friendly Perfect location for moving around close to the marinas, shopping and restaurants on the west end of the historic district. The breakfast was a wonderful surprise and so easy. Pet friendly with Excellent service and very responsive. Will definitely stay here again!

Nice place way too hot on third floor!!! The staff was great but we had a problem with our room being that it was on a third floor that you had to walk up to and the heat was intense! To the point that our room was extremely warm when we arrived and thought that maybe in the evening when we would go back that it would be better but that wasn’t the case. We had paid for a bigger room with a sofa bed being that we were two of us. We ended up going to a smaller room on a lower floor that had way better air conditioning and the tv worked. On the third floor apart from the heat that can probably be solved with a bigger a/c unit and or a roof extractor the wifi and the tv didn’t work since the signal did not reach up there.

Good time! Great location! Walked everywhere. We had a small but quiet room . (Room 10) Breakfast was adequate. Sangria happy hour was fun. Small pool, with beautiful plants around grounds.
