Aston Islander on The Beach ★★★
"Good for friends and couples, try not to bring kids because of the hot tub not allowing them. Poolside bar as well open until 9"
Sheraton Kauai Resort Villas ★★★★
"This was the best hotel we stayed at during our trip, and also the most expensive at over $4000 a night! The environment, service, and facilities were all top-notch. Free parking and an unbeatable view were major pluses. The room came with a washing machine, dryer, electric stove, microwave, and a complete set of kitchenware and dishes. This was a wonderful surprise for us, as there really aren't many good food options on Kauai. We bought some groceries at the supermarket and cooked several meals ourselves, which was great. It saved us a lot of money and even cured our 'Chinese stomach'! If the price were closer to $1000 a night, I'd happily stay here for a whole month."
Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu, Autograph Collection ★★★★
"Best spot on the island. Beautiful, clean room and customer oriented, friendly staff. Loved our stay!"
Kauai Shores Hotel ★★★
"Quite satisfactory"
The Kauai Inn ★★★
"This inn completely surpassed our expectations! From start to finish, it was a wonderful stay. A few highlights from our visit: Impeccable Room: The space was incredibly clean and offered plenty of room to stretch out and relax comfortably. Warm Welcome: The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Serene Atmosphere: It was quiet and peaceful throughout our entire stay, making it the perfect place to unwind. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!"
Hotel Coral Reef ★★
"Pleasant stay. All rooms have a balcony with ocean views. Free on-site parking. Towels were provided by Mara."
Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa ★★★★★
"A decent resort hotel with top-notch facilities, but the service wasn't particularly impressive since you're mostly responsible for your own needs. There are many swimming pools and a beach pool, but the waves are too big to swim in. The rooms are spacious, and the laundry facilities are fully equipped. Overall, a good experience. However, I wouldn't recommend coming in February, as the weather is often bad – windy and rainy."
Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay ★★★
"Next to the beach, there is a breakwater for playing in the sea. The location is very convenient. There is a hot spring pool in the swimming pool, which can be used as a hot spring by the elderly. There is also a free laundry room. However, the hotel facilities are a bit old, the windows cannot be opened, and the fresh air blower and air conditioner are very loud. They must be turned off at night, otherwise it feels like sleeping on an airplane."
Kauai Palms Hotel ★★
"Overall it was an okay experience if not for the small cockroach on the bed."

Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort
"This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, costing over 1000 RMB per night, anywhere in the world. 2000 RMB a night isn't cheap, so the service being this bad is unbelievable. The front desk staff were rude; they said the double room I booked was unavailable and gave me a twin room instead, but then put me in a damp corner room on the second floor with mosquitoes. They then hinted at a better sea-view room and asked for a tip, but sorry, the more they did that, the less likely they were to give a tip. The next day, when they came to clean, they only made one bed; the other was left untouched. The Wi-Fi was so slow it was almost unusable. The attitude of the hotel staff, from the front desk to all the other staff, was extremely unfriendly... This is truly the worst star-rated hotel I've ever stayed in."
The Cliffs at Princeville
"Very good suite, facing the sea, with spring flowers blooming. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils. You can drive 10 minutes to Foodland to buy it and cook it yourself, just like at home."
The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas
"This hotel is fantastic! It's a villa-style hotel with everything you could need in the room: a washer and dryer, laundry detergent and dryer sheets, a kitchen, and a dishwasher—very convenient. The environment is also great, the pool and hot spring are nice, and the restaurant service is excellent. The food selection is average, but that's typical for white people, I guess. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, and I really enjoyed the hotel."
Shell Vacations Club Kauai Coast Resort at the Beachboy
"Very spacious and well maintained rooms. Right next to beach, restaurants and vista points. We enjoyed our stay here."
Marriott's Kauai Lagoons - Kalanipu'u
"Wow! The best service and wonderful villas. View is out of this world, and everything works like it should. Very clean facilities."
Timbers Kauai Ocean Club & Residences
"Previous review from 2 years ago was 5 star+. This time not so much. AC issues on both floors. Twice on. the second floor. BOTH for known issues they hadn’t repaired. Restaurant tried to bill us twice on the gratuity on a split bill for 8. Said that had never happened and didn’t know how to fix it. Took much conversation and the restaurant manager to finally get it resolved. Unable to get change for a large bill (for tips) because only the manager could do that and she wouldn’t be in until 11:30. Still wasn’t available at 1:30 (?). But, it is a beautiful location (trust me, the proximity of the airport is a non-issue). The food at the restaurant is great. The golf course is fantastic. It’s just not the same since staff turnover. And overall service not quite the same. Sorry."
Gated Beachfront Estate - On the Sand -Secluded Beach safe year round TVNC-4245
Plantation Hale Suites
"A nice hotel close to the beach and a local market with bars, restaurants and supermarket. The location is pretty good. The room was clean and spacious. There were also some pools and hot tub, and also a place for a barbecue."
Marriott's Waiohai Beach Club
"DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE PAYING!!! Please make sure you understand this is a timeshare of Marriott, and not a normal Marriott hotel. I had a terrible experience, I purchased a room via the Bonvoy app with Titanium status, and was put in the “hotel section” which is fine for me, I understand it’s a “owners” resort. But the hotel portion is extremely run down, old, smells like mildew. The owners side is nice! If you are staying as a Bonvoy or paid guest, DO NOT STAY HERE."
Hilton Vacation Club the Point at Poipu Kauai
"Very family friendly"
Club Wyndham Bali Hai Villas
"The room was alright, except it was a bit old."
Marriott's Kaua'i Beach Club
"It's rather old. The main issue is that the photos make it seem like there's a sofa and a bed, but the bed is actually a pull-down wardrobe bed with the sofa cushions removed. The air conditioner is very loud, and the sea view is obstructed."
Sheraton Kauai Resort
"I had a really strange experience at this hotel. It's a Sheraton resort, beachfront, with a gorgeous beach. However, it's all self-service. I had to park my own car and carry my own luggage. There simply weren't enough sun loungers for all the guests; you had to reserve them early in the morning, just like at cheap hotels in Turkey. And the loungers themselves didn't even have umbrellas! Unbelievable! Room service brought food with, you won't believe it, the cheapest plastic forks and knives. Even on airplanes, you get better cutlery. Beach towels had to be signed out. If you wanted an umbrella, a sun lounger with an umbrella was $100 USD, and a cabana was $250 USD per day. As for the food in the restaurant, like most places in the US, it's very much for meat lovers with a caramel sauce, reminiscent of cheap motel diners. Plus, on top of all this, you'll pay an additional $59 USD per night for Hawaii state taxes! Seriously, don't be fooled by the Sheraton brand and its 5-star rating. At best, it's a 3-star equivalent, but it costs an arm and a leg."
1 Hotel Hanalei Bay
"Hotel was very clean and nice but a bit overpriced All employees were fabulous Food was too expensive and we mostly ate elsewhere."
The Royal Sonesta Kauai Resort Lihue
"The location is superb. It's very convenient to the airport, major attractions, shopping, and dining. Public facilities (pool, beach, garden) are shared with the adjacent Marriott. The environment is beautiful. There are golf courses and running tracks nearby, and the beach is right outside the door, perfect for swimming. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with new amenities, and the balcony faces the pool and offers beach views. The stay experience far exceeded expectations."
