"Aloha - my wife and I celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary and her birthday at Kauai Lagoons. This was our fourth stay at Kauai Lagoons and we have already booked for next October 2026. The property is absolutely beautiful and the refreshed rooms show and function very well. The entire Staff here is amazing and really takes care of the property. Gardeners, grill cleaners, pool cleaners, housekeeping were busy throughout our 9 day stay. Some things to ponder: we noticed that construction seems to have stopped for now at the Timbers Resort as there was no construction equipment visible. There is a new Hilton Hotel being constructed o the east end of the Kauai Beach Club property. Although visible, the construction did not impact our visit. Also, since our return flight to the mainland was scheduled to leave Lihue at 8:30 PM we booked an additional night so we could leave the property and go right to the airport. It sure made the last day on Kauai a very easy and relaxed day. Special thank you to Brittany at the Front Desk who was very pleasant and helpful during our stay! Safe travels to all! Mahalo!"

Timbers Kauai Ocean Club & Residences

"The property is new and located in a secluded and scenic area, but the nearest beach is a bit away (5 min drive). The infrastructure and location are great but if you are travelling with family looking for a resort like experience this is not the place to be in, there is only 1 restaurant on the property (so limited options), there is no 24x7 room service, and your best bet is the nearest grocery store (Safeway) 11 min(drive) away. Personnel wise, it is hit or miss, some employees are great, others are less experienced. Housekeeping staff is a big problem, we had a 3 bed/3.5 bath apartment, they cleaned only 1 bathroom and “forgot” to clean the rest!! Next day they didn’t empty all the trash cans in the apartment!! When we asked for linen change on used beds, the front desk person said we do that weekly once(sanitation/hygiene?) and we can do daily for a charge, then he checked with a superior perhaps and then said we will do it, no charges sorry – hence my comment less experienced/new staff). In a nutshell, property is 5 stars for infra/scenery, great for a retirement/secluded living if you get all your grocery in. But if you are looking for pampered, 24x7 room service, and on demand service which we are used to in 5-star hotels, you will be disappointed. They need more time and training for the staff to reach the level of service expected from a conventional 5 star resort. This is a beautiful place for a daytime visit, think like a park/beach, eat lunch or dinner and go back home after taking lot of pictures, night stay/longer, there are better options."

"Very good suite, facing the sea, with spring flowers blooming. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils. You can drive 10 minutes to Foodland to buy it and cook it yourself, just like at home."

"The room felt a bit damp and looked a little dated, but the view was absolutely incredible – you could see the ocean directly from there."

Marriott's Waiohai Beach Club

"DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE PAYING!!! Please make sure you understand this is a timeshare of Marriott, and not a normal Marriott hotel. I had a terrible experience, I purchased a room via the Bonvoy app with Titanium status, and was put in the “hotel section” which is fine for me, I understand it’s a “owners” resort. But the hotel portion is extremely run down, old, smells like mildew. The owners side is nice! If you are staying as a Bonvoy or paid guest, DO NOT STAY HERE."

Marriott's Kaua'i Beach Club

"It's rather old. The main issue is that the photos make it seem like there's a sofa and a bed, but the bed is actually a pull-down wardrobe bed with the sofa cushions removed. The air conditioner is very loud, and the sea view is obstructed."

The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas

"This hotel is fantastic! It's a villa-style hotel with everything you could need in the room: a washer and dryer, laundry detergent and dryer sheets, a kitchen, and a dishwasher—very convenient. The environment is also great, the pool and hot spring are nice, and the restaurant service is excellent. The food selection is average, but that's typical for white people, I guess. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, and I really enjoyed the hotel."

"The hotel doesn't do housekeeping every day, but everything you need is provided. Very convenient, and I especially liked their bath towels. They're even better than some five-star hotel towels. I saw a rainbow this morning! 🌈"
