"My friends and I went to there for 2 days and a half. Our stay was overall ok. However, they charged us for breaking the pipes in the basement and for using *****. Firstly, the basement was already broken. Secondly, we never have touched ***** in our life. If you ever plan for a stay at one of their locations, make sure to take pictures of the house just after entering as a proof."

"My wife and l spent 2 wonderful days exploring the blue mountains region for a special anniversary trip and we were lucky enough to find a hidden gem for our accommodation.The Chalet Guest House was everything we could have wanted. Beautifully appointed rooms with antique furniture and wonderful artwork adorning all of the walls.After a very restful sleep we woke to one of the best appointed continental breakfast you would ever wish for with the added bonus of a cooked breakfast at a very modest surcharge which was served in an old world dining room full of wonderful art and antiques with the local parrots feeding and performing for the guests while we enjoyed our wonderful breakfast. The owners of the Chalet the two Davids were lovely hosts who were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Anyone looking for accommodation around Medlow Bath could not go wrong choosing a very comfortable room at The Chalet Guest House. Thankyou to our wonderful hosts for making our stay so memorable. "The accommodation was marketed as a Boho cabin and looked fine in the photos . Small, compact but pleasant. No mention that this was actually a caravan with a broken window or that the condensation and lack of ventilation meant that the bed and pillows were wet. The bathroom was across a soggy grassy courtyard. The kettle did not work. There was nobody on site to complain to and at the reception - two blocks away when I made my hasty retreat early- the receptionist just said “I’m only the receptionist” Appalling and not fit for habitation. I endured two nights because I had paid for three and it was un refundable. A very expensive unpleasant two nights in squalor. I contacted Montblu but received no reply."

Katoomba Hotel

"Close to the station, less than 5 minutes walk◎ The bus stop that goes to the Blue Mountains is right in front of you. It's best to get on at the station one stop before, as there aren't many people who can get on the train. No hairdryer or tissues provided. The hotel check-in counter is now a restaurant. It was a little confusing at the checkout. For dinner, I went shopping at the supermarket and was able to get a fork and knife at a restaurant."

"The location is close to transport and the Main Street , where lovely cafe and restaurants are. They also have a top class restaurant also. The set up with the vintage look giving a wonderful experience, as if travel back in time. Staff were wonderful and the room was fantastic and romantic ."
