The place is amazing

UNSAFE. They do not abide by safety regulations, unsafe for kids and adults alike. My dad traveled from the United States to Jeddah to visit with family, some of whom were staying at this supposed "5 star luxury" resort. They were at dinner one evening to watch the Real Madrid vs. Barcelona game on Sunday, October 26, 2025, when my 62 year old dad casually leaned on the fence to look out onto the water. The fence broke and he fell more than 13 feet onto the rocks below, and then into the water. His sisters and other kids with the family were crying, could not see my father in the dark after he fell and ended up in the water, were not sure if he had hit his head or could move. He ended up submerged in the water, in shock and unaware of his surroundings. He swam up and back to the rocks, but could not move anymore after that. Other guests at the hotel were also in shock, and a father and son duo plus some technicians on site went down to help my father. The rocks were very slippery and it was a treacherous climb back up as they carried my father who could not move his leg and was in full body pain. The ambulance arrived, and he was taken to a hospital. It was absolute sheer luck that my dad was not killed or paralyzed and we are thanking God every day for saving our dad from death. He is 62 years old, countries away from his home and on vacation, and has full body bruises, cuts, and two breaks in his ankle. He is in shock and very traumatized. He requires surgery and an orthopedic surgeon has advised he could require up to 9 months of rehab. He had to travel back international- three flights- with his injuries in order to seek consultations and schedule his surgery and rehab at home with us, his family, around him. I have attached some photos and videos. ps. the resort apparently "fixed" the fence issue by repairing the fence that my dad fell from during the night but we had already taken photos and videos to document what had happened. FURTHER, they still have not learned their lesson! It is shocking how little care they have for the safety and well-being of their guests. The video from the next morning will show you that while the resort repaired the fence that broke and resulted in my dad's fall, the very next section is still wobbly and completely unsafe, completely amenable to another fall. I would strongly discourage anyone to visit this resort, as they have demonstrated continued negligence in their safety standards.

It was a wholesome experience from A to Z. I wish I was able to extend my trip just to enjoy that superb resort. A special shoutout to Mr Mohammed Al Qahtani as he one of the reasons that took that experience to a next level. He was very professional, kind, and very helpful. To those of you who want to experience relaxation, Saudi hospitality, and professionalism at its best, this is the place.
