"Honestly, I found it just okay... The facilities are quite old. On the first day, my room wasn't cleaned, and when I asked the front desk for some shower gel, it took them ages to bring it. Eventually, they knocked, and when I opened the door, I saw three small bottles just lying on the floor outside. On the second day, the trash can in the bathroom had its liner separated from the bin, and there was no trash bag inside; the liner was just sitting on the toilet. What was most frustrating was encountering a double check-in... Ugh, anyway, the front desk staff really weren't very enthusiastic... Maybe it was because they saw an Asian face."

"I booked two hotels on the Southbank of the Yarra River this time. First, let's talk about Crown Towers, which is located on the western side. My first impression was its luxury. It's connected to a casino and surrounded by high-end luxury stores, with a grand lobby. My second impression was how friendly it is to Chinese guests; all the elevator buttons have both Chinese and English annotations, and there were many festive elements for Chinese New Year. The room faced the Yarra River, offering a nice view, and there were various restaurants downstairs, making dining convenient. Walking west from the hotel, away from the bustling Flinders Street Station, I experienced the quiet and less crowded Yarra River after an evening rain. It was then that I truly understood why Melbourne has been repeatedly voted the world's most livable city. It was a refreshing and comfortable feeling that made me exclaim, 'Life can truly be this wonderful!' If you have ample time, I highly recommend staying a night by the Yarra River. I suggest booking a hotel on the western side; though the location might be slightly more secluded, it offers a convenient way to experience the Yarra River away from the city's hustle and bustle. Like Sydney's Crown Towers, Melbourne's Crown Towers is also lively and a bit flamboyant. This doesn't quite align with the quiet and understated elegance typically associated with luxury hotels, but perhaps that's why its high price offers good value for money. The pool was crowded in the evening but wonderfully empty in the morning for a great swim. Additionally, it's very close to DFO South Wharf (Melbourne's largest outlet mall). We didn't know this at the time and ended up taking a taxi from our subsequent hotel near the University of Melbourne. If we had known, it would have been much more convenient to just stroll over from here."

"I stayed here for one night because I had to catch a train early in the morning. Although the hotel is a bit old, it is clean. The most important thing is that the location is very good and convenient. The price/performance ratio is good."

"We stayed for one day in a one-bedroom apartment. The service was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodation was comfortable, well-maintained, and the room was clean. Overall, everything was good and the stay was pleasant. However, the bathtub could not be used because the surface was very rough, which was a bit disappointing. Apart from that issue, it was a good experience."

"Booked this hotel for the Australian Open final to cheer for Djokovic. It's only a 15-minute walk to the stadium, which is super convenient. The room itself was huge! A bit old-fashioned, but very comfortable. The breakfast on the ground floor even offered congee, which was absolutely fantastic. Plus, it's close to the city center and Chinatown. There's a xiao long bao place nearby that's even better than the ones in Shanghai!"

"Parking costs AUD 20 per night, but I wasn't told that I'd have to pay extra if I left and returned, which made me feel ripped off. I needed an HDMI cable for work to connect to the TV in my room, and it took a lot of negotiating with the front desk to get one. There was a lot of unnecessary hassle, and I wish borrowing basic amenities like this could be more streamlined. I stayed during the Christmas holiday, and it seems breakfast wasn't included, so I had to go out to eat. The bathroom in my room type only had a curtain, not a proper door. The windows looked quite dirty with a lot of dust outside. The pool had many leaves floating on the surface, and no one seemed to be cleaning it, so I didn't use it. I guess all these issues were probably due to a lack of staff during the holiday period."

"We had a little wait at check in, in a queue, when we arrived at 8pm. We then found the electronic pad for sign in was very greasy and the screen covered in fingerprints (and goodness knows what else) so did not feel comfortable having to use it for sign in. We were advised that we had booked a room with a rollaway but when we advised there was only the two of us we were informed we would be able to call reception on “9” to have it removed if we did in fact find it there on arriving to the room. We did find it set up and as it took up a fair bit of room we did as required to contact reception, however, after 10 minutes or so with the phone remaining unanswered we hung up and gave up. One of us then decided to have a warm bath while the other showered, however, the deep scum around the inside of the tub resulted in a change of plans! The bed was the most comfortable we encountered in our two week holiday, and we both slept extremely well. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic. We would stay again but would hope the cleaning methods improved."

"My daughter and I had a two bedroom apartment which had a whole separate floor for living area. So much space and very comfortable rooms and bathroom. We utilised the pool a few times which was wonderful and clean. Multiple tram lines were metres away and we were so close to both the city and Fitzroy which was perfect, we could easily come back for a rest in between activities. The front desk was helpful when we needed advice and were accommodating to store our luggage after check out. The only negative would be to install soft close door mechanisms on some doors. There was one that created a bang so incredibly loud it made me jump every time and woke me up a few times."

"Check-in was quite smooth as they could retrieve my booking very quickly. I was able to check in at 2 pm on time, which was good. The room was very basic but it's true to the photos advertised. The room is clean and well kept and comes with a microwave, toaster and electric kettle. Bedding was average, but overall, this motel is very well located with a 24-hour Mac just beside and Coles within walking distance. I booked a family room for 4, so I would expect 4 sets of plates, bowls, metal spoon, and forks. There were only 2 bowls, 2 small plates, 2 large plates, and one metal dining knife, so it would be better for the hotel to provide these based on the number of guests expected for the room. Otherwise, it's really a good place to stay for its location and cleanliness."
