Not Worth the Price – Poor Hygiene and Unprofessional Experience I usually leave good reviews for hotels I stay at, but unfortunately this one did not meet expectations especially considering the price. I don’t have anything personal against the staff, but you can definitely find better quality for the same or even lower price in Istanbul. We checked in early, and the staff told us that although breakfast was takin place until 10:30 so because it wasn't part of the time we were supposed to check in at we had to pay, we were supposed to check in at 2pm and came before 10am so we had to pay. That sounded fair, and we agreed to pay 200 lira per person. We went to the room they gave us and started unpacking, but shortly after, a staff member knocked and said they gave us the wrong room by mistake and asked us to move. That was unprofessional, but we didn’t make a big deal out of it and agreed to move to the correct room. At breakfast, things seemed okay, but once we got back to the room, we started noticing issues: The bedsheets were clearly not new or freshly washed — they seemed reused from previous guests. Towels were also not clean, looked old, and didn’t smell fresh. They didn’t provide a phone number or way to reach reception from the room, which was very inconvenient. When we asked for bottled water, even though we offered to pay, they said they don’t provide any. That was surprising. Later that night, they told us we owed 300 lira each for the breakfast, even though earlier they said it was 200. This was confusing and felt dishonest. We insisted that we were told 200 lira and that we already paid that amount — they eventually accepted it, but the inconsistency was frustrating. During our 4-day stay (3 nights), room cleaning was another issue. We had to ask for cleaning each day, and even when they came, all they did was: Make the bed (with the same dirty sheets)Flush the toilet Leave used towels (only 2), not fresh ones By the 3rd day, I was fed up and told them directly. They sent a cleaner who did the exact same thing — no mopping, no cleaning of the smelly bathroom, just basic surface tidying. Also, the bathroom door was broken — it wouldn’t close properly unless we pushed it really hard. Overall, this was not a hygienic or professional experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to others, especially for the price. With just a bit more effort, the hotel could improve a lot, but for now, I’d say look elsewhere.

I didn't get what I booked for. It's totally a different room. I didn't get my money back. What i paid for. This Suck !

Suite 1 room, stone hotel, I booked a room with 6 beds, when arrived they were 5 then brought a bed with 50$ which was moving all the night and make noise and not comfortable , the bath sink has had a problem with keeping water in the floor , the bathroom was not clean as expected, there was a lizard in the room, the bathroom streams weren’t working properly, they were keeping the water in the floor all the 6 days i stayed there, i’ll never book that hotel again

Excellent stay with the rooftop offering a sea view. The buffet breakfast spread is decent enough. Highly recommend

Two rooms cost 491 yuan. The heating can't be turned on. The air conditioner is old and the noise is too loud. The key is that it can't be turned on. The umbrella for showering can't be hung up. It's broken and can only be held in the hand. Except for a little breakfast and a view of the sea, the other experience is average.

A good hotel with a great location, a gorgeous terrace, Russian-speaking staff. Breakfasts are excellent, cleaning every day. The room was warm. There is hot water.

There is no sound insulation. There is a mosque next to it, and the sounds from upstairs and outside the door are intermittent.

You can take photos on the rooftop of the room. The only problem is that the streets in Turkey are too hilly and it is very difficult to push the luggage even for a short distance.

The Stone Hotel has a fabulous location in Sultanahmet. We had read the reviews prior to going and read that the receptionist had charged a couple twice. Once for cash and again on their credit card and they were not refunded for the double charge. We arrived and they asked for full payment. I brought out my credit card and the young man said it must be in cash. I refused and said I would only pay with a credit card. He persisted that I go to a cash machine and take out the $500 for the nights we booked. I waited until the next day when a young lady was on duty and paid with a credit card. I have been to Turkey over 14 times and never had this happen.

Horrible hotel . Hotel staff is very rude . No water , ac doesn’t work , breakfast is like u better stay hungry and most important there isn’t any hospitality. They simply don’t care . Please it’s a humble request to all please never ever book this hotel and please remove this hotel from all the websites .

It's just horrible, I don't recommend it to anyone. We booked one night, but we couldn't sleep, the walls were so moldy, the air, dirt everywhere and everything. The location is ok, close to the center. The pictures speak for themselves. Of course, they couldn't help, and they couldn't give you another room either. Please tripadvisor, trivago, booking, delete this hotel from the opportunities!

We had a brilliant time in this hotel. Staff are very friendly and polite. Location is very ideal for Ayasofia and blue mosque. We had little issue with shower and got resolved straight away. Highly recommended.
