"Me and my friend went to Ischia for the film festival. I chose this place firstly for the location because of its close proximity to the castle. Then because breakfast was included, which was a very good selection, which offered excellent value for money, if just for the coffee alone. The traditional set up and being family run really appealed to me and everyone was so so helpful and friendly.....from the girls at breakfast to the night staff and everyone in between. Francesco was super friendly and fun and Rafael went above and beyond for us to get to another part of the island and mama for translating messages! . I had a single room, which was just perfect for me. No aircon wasn't a problem as you can leave the window open and with the the ceiling fan made the room really airy. It's much nicer than artificial air con. I loved how you could hire a beach towel for as little as 4€ for someone travelling very light. Having the fridge in the room was great to keep drinks cold. The shower was very nice with wonderful pressure. I would 100% choose this hotel again. I booked direct with the hotel and communication was super and everything was so easy. Thanks again to all the staff/owners for the hospitality and making us feel so so welcome. Hope to return soon!"

"I have had the opportunity to stay at many hotels on the island and I can say that in relation to the quality/price ratio and service it is a structure that has totally failed to meet my expectations. I'm sorry to say it, but the cuisine and table service, the two strong points of a hotel, have numerous shortcomings. Catering is based on savings, at dinner the portions are miserable and embarrassing, served on gigantic plates, I was served bruschetta as a starter, escarole vegetables as a second course which would be a side dish, alternatively ham and melon which would be an appetizer, service all very slow. At dinner, exhausting waits to receive that little. Unfortunately the dishes are not served hot and are often tasteless, including the pasta, you are forced to remedy this by seasoning everything with oil, salt and pepper. Breakfast is normal, very cheap yoghurts and evening sandwiches from the previous day are served, I definitely do not recommend coffee for breakfast, it is better to have a paid waffle at the pool bar. The cost/quality/service ratio is disproportionate, a 75 cl bottle of water at the table costs 3.50 euros, absurd with all the money you pay for a room with a breakfast and dinner package, all unjustifiable. The table service is very slow, the waiters are unhelpful and inattentive, especially the younger ones, I think it is simply inexperienced and poorly trained staff. Little initiative was noted at breakfast, the customer is always forced to block them from having to request a hot drink (coffee, cappuccino, etc.) or to have the same dirty dishes removed. The cuisine needs to be reviewed, there is a lot to work on, it has ups and downs, unfortunately the desserts are not appreciated as they are prepared with the addition of too much sugar. The half board formula with evening dinner is not recommended, the snack at lunch by the pool is better, the food is much better, decent portions and much more efficient and faster service. The only positive notes are the services in the swimming pool, spa and thermal treatments, I found good care of the places, all the staff were kind and trained, I categorically exclude the dining room staff, the girl Alessia and Pasquale professional at the poolside. The sofas located outside the hotel are comfortable and relaxing, the location is strategic for those who love an evening walk or if you want to go and eat something different. There are no evenings with music and entertainment, except on August 14th, on the other days there is only a thin diffusion, too soft and soporific. The cuisine of the mid-August dinner did not excite me at all, I was hoping to find something better and of superior quality, a buffet based on carbohydrates and pre-packaged ricotta which are also served for breakfast, nothing special compared to what is administered during normal days . It’s in a great location that’s away from the main area with a short walk to shops, restaurants, main bus terminal and port. I also had am incredible facial."

"Lovely hotel in and excellent location. We stayed in room 356 and had a balcony overlooking the pool. The room was spacious with lots of storage space. The bathroom shower was powerful and shower gel soap and shower caps supplied The hotel is spotlessly clean our room was cleaned every day! The pool area is also spotless. Swimming caps are compulsory in the pool but are sold by the hotel for 2.50 euros. There was a great choice at breakfast hot and cold food pasties and breads. Staff were lovely they made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and helped us navigate the ferry bus and local area nothing was too much trouble. A complimentary bottle of Prosecco was delivered to our room for our anniversary. We would definitely return"

"Warm and helpful welcome by Rosario, he is a super host who was always on hand for anything we needed during our 3 night stay. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, the pool and jacuzzi always clean. If you rent a car or scooter (Rosario helped with this as well) there is free parking behind the hotel. The rooms are spotless and come with basic amenities. We really enjoyed our stay here and felt at ease as soon as we met Rosario! We would love to come back, thank you so much."

"View is great. Room is OK but looking tired and in need of refurbishment. Rust on radiator and stain on settee. Breakfast was OK but had better on our trip. Location is OK but you need transport to get to and from the town as roads are not walkable unless you have a death wish. Lots of hype about this place but we just found it to be average. "
