Craigmonie Hotel Inverness by Compass Hospitality

Good location, efficient check in and comfortable room. Would stay again.

While the location of this hotel is great (relatively quiet neighborhood but still walkable to downtown), we felt very let down by every other aspect of the hotel. Our room (a bigger one that we paid more for) was in the "annex" - a building behind the main hotel that was accessed by walking around a dumpster and various garbage. The room was big but outdated, with stained pillows on the bed and an uneven floor. The bathroom was huge by any standard (and seemed to have been recently updated) but the sink still had manufacturer stickers on it, the door to the bathroom didn't fully latch, toilet paper holder was loose, shower head was not connected correctly, etc. We could also hear every sound from the room above us as the floors creaked with every step. The wifi in our room was spotty at best. Breakfast was not served in the lovely front room, but in a modified conference room, poorly labeled through a maze of halls. Breakfast also seemed understaffed as things like juice were usually low or empty. You pay 6 pounds a night for parking but there did not seem to be enough spots for all guests. The power was also accidentally cut by the construction workers one day - we came back to our room with no explanation of what had happened or when the power would be back on. All in all, a very disappointing experience and easily our worst hotel of our trip to the UK.

A very pleasant stay,our room was very clean and had all you needed in it.The hotel is a bit dated but the staff were all very polite and efficient and were a credit to the hotel.A very good buffet breakfast,maybe just a bit far from town centre but never the less if back in Inverness we will be back at the Craimonie.Well worth a visit.

We were stuck out the back stairs to our room. Room was old and dated, carpet dirty, jug and tray that coffee cups sat on dirty. Birds nesting on roof noisy and scratching all night.
