Loch Ness Country House Hotel

"During our Highlands trip, we chose a hotel near Loch Ness. It was drizzling and getting dark when we checked in. The driver, following the navigation, almost drove into a neighboring house – apparently not the first time – and kindly pointed us in the right direction. Soon, lights appeared on the dark path, and an English country house came into view. The hotel reception was small, but the fireplace in the lobby glowed brightly, warmly dispelling the gloom. Our room was in a separate farmhouse next to the main building. Walking along the pebbly path, we opened the door to a brightly lit and warmly cozy room, feeling right at home. In the morning, opening the door brought a refreshing breeze. The sunrise cast long, beautiful rays, and the distant green mountains created a serene atmosphere. Breakfast was, of course, English style. Ordering a freshly made English country meal or Benedict was a good choice. If that wasn't enough, there was a buffet with croissants, cheese, or fruit. But tourists are always so rushed; after breakfast, we were back on the road!"

"We stayed in a small building opposite the main building, which is a B&B style hotel. The internal parking lot is convenient for parking, and the waiter can also help with luggage enthusiastically, but it is too busy. It feels good considering the expectations of a B&B."

"The hotel is very close to the center of Inverness, just a few minutes' walk away. It is located in the center of Inverness. When you open the door, you will see the Loch Ness. The hotel consists of several houses. We stayed at Riverside. The room was spacious and the view was beautiful. The red sunset was so beautiful. The faucet in the bathroom was old, and the hot and cold water faucets were separated, which was very retro. The hotel's own brewery next door is worth experiencing. Breakfast was in another building. The dining environment was beautiful, but the variety was relatively small and not very rich."

"When you get there, email the landlord for the room number and password. You then take the key from the black box to open the door. It's usually easy to open, but we didn't have the password when we arrived, so we emailed the landlord to get it and let us in. It's very convenient to cook, as there's a kitchen. The only thing is that the sheets in the room could be whiter..."

"A stones throw from the centre of Inverness. Right on the river with classic Scottish decor. The check in staff were friendly and knowledgable about the local area. It should be noted that there is not direct parking but there is parking at the cathedral only a 3 minute walk away - the parking at the cathedral is also cheaper than most other options in the city. Don’t miss out the milk bar cafe on the same street and the doughnut shop over the bridge next to the market!"

"Great staff, nice room, very comfy bed but let down by some grubby stains on the carpet and a previous guests medication and yoghurt left in the fridge. Would stay again though"

The Glenmoriston Townhouse Hotel

"Located along the River Ness and not far from the city center. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was very good - full Scottish breakfast. The bed was extremely comfortable as I slept rather well. I stayed in the main building which had older decoration but as I was out and about so much it didn’t matter to me. I would definitely stay again the next visit to Inverness!"
