During our 2-night stay as a couple at the end of November 2024, we had a bad experience at this lodge, particularly concerning the safari offered on site. The LODGE was DESERTED (no other guests except us in the twenty rooms), which gives the very gloomy impression of a ghost hotel, with a lot of staff, who are therefore unoccupied, watching you and sometimes a little oppressive (to order the meal in advance, clear away, etc.). The food, the setting and the rooms are, on the other hand, very correct. But above all, we were extremely DISAPPOINTED BY THE SAFARI offered for the day with a young, kind but inexperienced guide (who did not leave the area he usually visits in high season when there were clearly no animals, served us lunch at 10:30 a.m. ...), whose vehicle broke down several times during the day and was charged at full price (no low season rate) clearly knowing that the season was not right for it. We expressed our dissatisfaction to the hotel once we got back and the team simply smiled as if they were not surprised and never tried to make up for the situation in any way. We had the very unpleasant feeling of being taken for pigeons / BEING DUMPED during this stay. Including from the manager of the establishment who was not on site, to whom we sent an email of dissatisfaction and who did not seek to explain these hiccups, nor make a gesture to compensate for this very bad experience.
