this hotel service was the best! 谢谢老板！the boss (uncle) was really welcome and helpful, since i arrived at the hotel until i back to station for next trip. Give a deep and complete explanation about hike huangshan trip, include tip and trick! The map with his handwriting really helpful🫶 (-) the bed was lil bit hard , but location was quite nice!

The hotel is old but is ok because during the day I go out. The receptionist help me to tell about huangshan maps, also hotel provided me free accommodation to huangshan.

Aircon wasn't really working, very cold but the staff was very helpful with planning the trip up huangshan

Convenience

The owner was super friendly and helped me plan my trip around the scenic area as well as arranging a taxi back to the high speed railway station. The hotel was conveniently located near a bus stop and the park entrance with restaurants and convenience stores around. Negatives would be the water wasn’t always warm and the room could have done with a hoover.

The location of the Hotel is great and the owner offered us help with everything we had questions in regarding the mountain and how to climb it. The catering service was also excellent, they serve local cuisine and some all-time favourites too. Stayed for 1 night, but it is good for entire weekends too.

We stayed at this hotel mainly for its location, and it didn’t disappoint — it’s super close to the mountain entrance, and they even offer a free ride there, which was really convenient. What truly stood out was the receptionist. He was incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to patiently walk us through the hiking routes, including the timing and pricing for the cable cars. He even gave us his personal ratings for each scenic spot, which helped us decide what to prioritize. Later that evening, when we hadn’t returned for a while, he actually called to check if we were okay — a really thoughtful gesture that made us feel cared for. As for the hotel itself, it’s decent. The beds aren’t the most comfortable, but they’re not terrible either. Cleanliness could be improved, but by China standards, it was pretty clean — the sheets and towels were fresh, and both the AC and WiFi worked well. Breakfast is very basic: boiled eggs, steamed buns, and soy milk for 15¥. Honestly, I’d recommend skipping it and grabbing some yogurt or fruit from one of the many nearby supermarkets instead. Overall, it’s not a luxurious stay, but for the price and the service, especially the staff’s hospitality, it’s worth considering if you’re planning to hike the mountain.

I recently stayed at Yunhailou Hotel and was quite satisfied with the overall experience. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient as it is already situated within the Huangshan scenic area. This made our sightseeing and hiking plans much easier to manage. The highlight of our stay was the excellent service provided by the receptionist. He was very accommodating and gave us a recommended hiking trail map for climbing the Huangshan scenic area. He also recommended a shared vehicle service to take us to and from the foot of the mountain, which was extremely helpful. The only downside to our stay was that the facilities were rather old. The heater from the air conditioning unit didn't warm the room adequately, and we experienced problems with the shower on our first night. Fortunately, the hotel staff fixed the shower issue the following day. Overall, our stay at Yunhailou Hotel was pleasant, and we appreciated the convenient location and exceptional service.

Good location half way between the main bus station and the South entrance for Huanshang Mountain. They provided a free car to take us to the entrance on the morning of the trip at 7.30am. One of the workers, made contact via wechat and met with us to explain (using translation app) how and where to go on the trail once up on the mountain and how much go pay, routes to avoid and how to get home. He was extremely helpful despite the language barrier. The bedroom was large and spacious and a good hot shower. The images on the advert were npt as we found it unfortunately. The inside space was outdated and we found it in need of some love and care. The reception was damp and mouldy, the same in the bedroom under the window. We paid for a window room but had small windows as we were on the 5th floor. The curtains and drapes were ripped and need to be replaced. We ate at the restaurant multiple times and this was really good and reasonably priced. There is a shop on site and always people around ready to help. It just needs a good paint job and some new touches in the bedrooms / removal of ripped drapes. It was a shame as the images online do not reflect the actual room we had. Nice service, welcoming and hospitable staff. Offered to drive us to the bus transfer point. The place however could be warmer and bit cleaner.
