Awesome Dam cottage accommodation. Very spacious, quiet with lovely views over the water and various grazing pastures for the Nguni herd. Well equipped kitchen with a Weber outside, tons of complimentary firewood.

Excellent stopover just off the beaten track. Friendly hosts being Graham who owns it, and Ryan his son who runs the place. Great accomodation. It's a small establishment with only a few rooms. We were in room 2 with an in room bath and separate shower and toilet. Lovely comfortable bed and good quality linen and bath towels. Loved the honesty bar and common area downstairs, plus the friendly Jack Russel. Amos cooked a great breakfast and even although there was load shedding there was no disruption to service. Only negative being there weren't any good restaurants in the vicinity for dinner unless you drove all the way back to Nottingham Road.

If you are looking to stay in the Nottingham Road area in the Midlands, The FarSide Manor B & B is a must, I had the most amazing weekend staying in the Dam Cottage, my expectations were fairly high after perusing their webpage, but it was more than I had expected. The area and views were something special and the tranquillity was second to none. The cottage which is more like a small house was full furnished with everything down to extra quality blankets, a huge fireplace and an exceptionally well equipped kitchen. I could sit and write pages on why you should stay at this beautiful and outstanding setting but have one comment to make: If you want an incredible place to stay, this is it!

Great stay with family. It was a lovely home from home atmosphere. The “World Class Breakfast “ was a big disappointment as it was very mediocre. There were no health breads, pastries etc. The rooms were beautiful and it was clean. The family enjoyed time around the fire, playing pool and darts….. and watching some World Cup Rugby.
