Have visited Halliwell previously, and experienced a 'high' standard both with food and accommodation. Under the new management this has changed. We were not informed earlier that there was no electricity after the heavy snowfall in the midlands area; as a result there was no hot water and at times, couldn't flush the loo since there was no water either. Buckets of water was delivered to us for bathing. The first night we ordered soup as listed on the menu; this was not available and so were some other items. On previous occasions a full breakfast included hot and cold, on this trip we could only choose one of the several options. We decided to cut short our trip and find an alternative in the area. Sadly, Haliwell will no longer be a favourite for a getaway:-(

Upon arrival we felt at home and welcome to be back at the place where we got married. The food is great and nothing was to much trouble to cater for our needs.

What a delight to meet staff who take a real pride in their work, and experience comfortable accommodation in such a pleasant environment. A few minor maintenance issues, but nothing serious.

Initially scheduled to stay 3 nights. We were so taken in by the place that we extended our stay beyond the 3 nights. Extremely satisfied with this return visit to Halliwell Country Inn.

Pleasant stay. The Inn buildings are just the way they should be, I would recommend the updating of the interiors of all of the bedrooms and bathrooms. We don't need so many cupboards which are old and need replacing and a TV that works would be great. The bathrooms are old and a modern shower with new vanity basin will improve the room. Gardens to be spruced up. Pool great. Food very good. Thanks .

We enjoyed our stay at Halliwell Josie and Lynn were amazing - we do feel we enjoyed our first stay more 2 years ago - seems like there has been a lot of change…

What an amazing guest house. The setting is beautiful, the views are amazing, and the room we stayed in was very spacious. The restaurant at the hotel has a very small menu, but the meals served were amazing. The pub has a wonderful country feel, and wait till you sit down for breakfast, that was the highlight for us.

A lovely overnight stay at Halliwell Country Inn. Spacious and comfortable rooms with King Size Beds, lovely veranda to sit on and catch the afternoon sun and also we had the pleasure of the horses coming to the fence for a scratch. Tasty breakfast - lovely spacious gardens for walking. Sparkling swimming pool for those summer days. Lots of history in this Old World Charm.

Our stay was just lovely, the scenery is so tranquil, the horses are an added bonus. Although quite cold, the fire place and heater in the room was a real treat. The staff took great care of us in the bar with snacks and drinks whilst we watched the rugby. Some nice places nearby to eat and visit. Food at the Inn was good.
