ent out for a meal with my partner, our kids and my parents at the poacher this evening. The food was great, service even better. Menu was great and after speaking to the new chef, he wants to be able to bring some new choices to the menu in the future too! We will definitely be going back soon! Codename: “Steak”

Came in for a weekday dinner, and cannot fault it. Rory and Lola had amazing customer service, from serving our food/ drinks to discussing the possibilities for some more dart boards! We've lived in South Warnborough for over a year and this is the first time we've come in and felt truly welcome, the food and service were excellent. Will definitely be coming back & recommending to our friends and family. Code word: 'Steak'

Visited for a family meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Good choice of food on the menu. Daughter and son in law had homemade pies, husband had sausage and mash, and I had steak med/rare, cooked perfectly. All of the meals looked and tasted amazing. The chef came out to check that we were enjoying our food and after our meal for a chat (don't get that very often these days). Can't wait to come back.

Great night at the inn.
Our room was at the back overlooking the beer garden. Was very quiet at the inn so no noise outside during evening.
Sliding door if ensuite entrance needs some serious lubrication.
Staff were super friendly and food was excellent

Not brilliant.
Bit disappointing. Emailed the property requesting a table the day before upon booking. Didn't get an answer and told we would have to eat in
the bar which on itself wasn't the end of the world. Then told there would be no breakfasts.
Just after finishing the main we asked for dessert and told too late. It would take seconds to put a slice of crumble in a dish. Especially as the chef was still there.
The milk in the room was three weeks out date. The food we did have was quite nice. But all in all the hospitality left a lot to be desired.

My wife & I were treated to an overnight stay, that included evening meals, drinks and breakfast by our kids. The room and facilities were really nice and cosy and the evening meal was wonderful. The staff were friendly & attentive and provided first class service. We had a good night's sleep and was greeted to a lovely full English breakfast. If you're in the area and are looking for a nice place to rest your head, or just have a meal or drink, this is well worth trying. Highly recommended.

Today we travelled from Byfleet Village stopping off at Alton, before travelling on to The Poacher inn for lunch. We were made very welcome, and the food was absolutely delicious. I settled for the Steak and ale pie which was lovely the meat was so tender and along with the gravy it certainly passed my test. Rosemary had the fish and chips which was also very nice, but found the batter a little to crispy, but never the less she still enjoyed it. The inn is well worth a visit, you will not be disappointed. Once again may we pass on our thanks to you all From Ray, Rosemary, and our dog Susie.
