"There were Japanese staff members, so even if you're not familiar with English, you could stay here with peace of mind. The bathroom facilities in the guest rooms were old and the toilets didn't have washlets, but it was a very good value hotel, close to Waikiki Beach."

"Got a free upgrade to the mountain view ! Huge room, comfortable beds. Room service had good food with great prices. There is a mini golf next to the swimming pool and hot tub for free. Very close to waikiki beach , the location is perfect"

"I booked this hotel three times between Ctrip and Qunar, because the price dropped the closer I got. The location of the hotel is indeed good, the room is large, the balcony has a good view, and it is very comfortable to use. Although the hotel is large, the elevator is very fast, and getting in and out is not as troublesome as some reviews said. The only inconvenience was that I checked out of the room that day, stored my luggage and went shopping. When I came back, I found that on the check-in floor on the second floor, all toilets required swiping a room card to enter, OMG. Later, I went to the change room where the third-floor swimming pool is located. There is no need to swipe the room card there. It’s very close to Marugame Udon, a popular udon restaurant. The “Mai*” matcha ice cream next to it is also good. You can try the purple potato balls in Duke Lane. The local poke bowl is worth a try."

"We enjoyed our trip and the stay at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. Although we recommend purchasing gifts, water and food off-resort due to the super inflated prices, the staff was excellent and kind. Get a room in the Lagoon or Makai tower to oversee the dolphins. Ours was an ocean view and it was breathtaking. As far as hotel rooms go, it was pretty standard but clean and comfortable. It was a good landing place between adventures. Pricey but worth it for being a safe and family-friendly place. Do the buffet for breakfast but not every day as you’ll get sick of it 🤣 or your kids will just eat the cereal for $55/adult and $27/kid or something. 🤣"

"Great hotel in the middle of Waikiki Beach ! Amazing swimming pools, direct access to the beach and the shopping malls. Be sure to book an oceanfront room, the view from the balcony is incredible."

"It is a capsule hotel, so it is less private than a regular hotel, but more so than a hostel. You have a partition, so other guests can't easily see you when sleeping. Now, this is on the 14th floor, and the view is pretty good from the lounge. It's pretty easy to book, and has a decent bed, charger and tv. I didn't see AC controls in the pod, but it cooled down at night. Also, bring earmuffs and sleeping aides if you are easily bothered by other people making loud noises when you sleep."

"The hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable. Waikiki Beach is just across the street, making it super convenient for beachgoers and families with kids. Thanks to its prime spot, the balcony offers fantastic views, and it's incredibly relaxing to just lie there and enjoy the morning. The lobby provides towels for guests to use at the beach, which can be conveniently returned to a designated bin on the same day – another handy feature. Now for some downsides. We booked two rooms, and the balconies felt a bit unstable, noticeably swaying when a few people stood on them. The railings also seemed inadequate and quite exposed, which felt a bit unsafe. We stayed for six nights, and it felt like daily tipping for housekeeping was expected. Without a tip, the service wasn't thorough, often missing things like fresh towels or replenished amenities. Furthermore, there was no complimentary bottled water provided daily, which we found unusual. Guests also need to bring their own toiletries, as the hotel does not supply them. The hotel has a paid laundry room; washing fees were comparable to New York, but drying was quite expensive. On top of that, there were unreasonable mandatory fees (e.g., resort fees) of around $60 per day, with very few actual amenities included for that price. Next time I visit, I definitely wouldn't choose this hotel again. I'd opt for hotels like the Hilton, just a block or two away from the main road. The walking distance isn't significantly different, but the price difference is substantial."

"The room is relatively clean and has all the basic amenities. Because I was going to the volcano, I didn't pay to upgrade the sea view at the front desk. There was only air conditioning outside the window without any view. The hotel front desk 🈶 unlimited coffee and the staff were very friendly. Hilo town is a relatively good place to stay."
