"The towels were one use and made out of recycled paper, very uncorfortable. The room was tiny and couldn’t even put our luggage on the floor to tidy things up, we had to do it on the bed. We had to store the luggage under the bed. The “clean the room” lable is in opposite colours, with green meaning to not clean. We did not read it and thus we did not have towels. The air conditioner was broken and our room was over 35 degrees. We went to the reception to ask for towels and report the aircon issue( it was 12pm) and it was closed. A person was sitting on a sofa outside (we though it was a costumer) and when we complain the next day they told us this person was the the 24hour receptionist, but he saw us at the reception and didn’t speak to us. After revising the air condition they gave us a new room on a different floor, with no upgrades of any kind although we had a horrible night at 35 degrees approx on a bed that barely fit the both of us. The new room was even smaller."

"Everyone, go stay here! 1. The owner is a super cute, fun, warm, and enthusiastic uncle. He told me so much, haha! I thought there might be some prejudice against Hong Kong people, but it turns out I worried for nothing! 2. The hygiene is excellent. A lady cleans many times a day and is incredibly meticulous and careful. Uncle, you should give her a raise! 🤩 3. The location is right in Causeway Bay, with super convenient transportation. There are many malls and delicious food nearby. Basically, you can eat whatever you see and buy whatever you browse. 4. The other guests were all quite respectful and friendly. This was my first time staying in a hostel, and the experience was truly unbeatable. 5. The privacy is great. Just pull the curtain, and you feel super secure. Plus, the AC runs 24/7! Hong Kong's temperature in late September was killing me, so it was nice that the room temperature was always super comfortable when I returned. Very nice! There are two bathrooms, so you don't have the common hostel problem of long waits for the shower. 6. The uncle prepared a charging plug for every bed. As a top-tier planner, I had everything sorted out in advance, which meant I wasted money buying an extra charging plug 🥹. The fridge in the room is a bit too cold, though; I put a bottle of lemon tea in at noon, and by evening it was ice! But it was so refreshing to drink. Friends using the fridge, just a heads-up. Finally, I wish the owner good health and a prosperous business!"

"The location is super convenient, right by the side entrance of Mirador Mansion, just outside Tsim Sha Tsui Station Exit D1/D2. It's a 10-15 minute walk to Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier, depending on your pace; anyone claiming it's a 5-minute walk is exaggerating! The owner is very responsive on WeChat and answers all questions. I forgot to activate overseas services on my bank card, so I couldn't withdraw cash. I looked online for several 'favorable' currency exchange shops, especially one in Sheung Wan where a young woman offered a rate of 0.98 for amounts under HKD 1,000, plus a HKD 100 handling fee – it was practically a rip-off! I tried asking the owner if she could help me exchange money, and she was incredibly helpful! I offered a 1:1 exchange, but she generously gave me HKD 105 for every RMB 100, which was almost the same rate I'd get from my bank card. Huge praise for her assistance! The room is quite small, but the bed was just right for my 1.78m height. I've stayed in Hong Kong hotels before, and rooms are generally compact here. The room provides shower gel, shampoo, and toilet paper; you'll need to bring anything else. As a frequent traveler, I'm already used to this. I stayed here in 2023, and this is my second visit. Definitely giving it a good review! Remember, you get what you pay for. It's unfair to review a place costing just over HKD 100 or less than HKD 200 with the expectations of a star-rated hotel."

"I stayed here for five days. The owner was very kind and explained everything in detail. Bath towels, shampoo, body wash, a hairdryer, and one power outlet converter were provided. The room was small, but perfect for me, thanks to the air conditioning and ventilation fan. I also wish there was a refrigerator. They also offer daily cleaning upon request. I'll definitely stay here again. The hotel is located on the 14th floor of the Mirador Daxia building. I took the elevator to find the Wai Yi Business Hotel and checked in. It's conveniently located along Nathan Road, with easy access to the harbor and Jordan, as well as Mong Kok for a stroll or to work up a meal. The station is Tsim Sha Tsui, but taking the A21 or 21 CityBUS between the airport and Tsim Sha Tsui was convenient. The bus seemed to run about every 15 minutes."

"Clean, good location, helpful friendly staff/ owner for hong kong good value for money. It is small but all in hong kong is. Def recommend this place. The situation with the lift is crazy tho, only 1 lift that fits 6 people so during busy times you can wait even 20 min to get up or down."

"PROS: • near transportation, MTR station and bus stops are few mins walk • Ladies Market is few mins away • 7/11, groceries, restaurants like Ichiran, Bestmart 360, Donki, fast food are very near • landlady and landlord are accommodating, especially the landlady -she also knows English. They moved me to a different room after I told them my room smelled of cigarettes • hot shower is available and enough water pressure CONS: • rooms are small, just enough for sleeping. For solo travellers, it might be enough but if you’re 2 people, it might be small. You can only open 1 luggage at a time • hallways going to the units are not clean • landlord and cleaning lady doesn’t speak English, only the landlady spoke English • the first room I got smelled of cigarettes and had no windows, 2nd room was better but the pillows smelled of cigarettes • 2nd room had annoying sound. Sounded like dripping of water which was really audible especially at night. If you are a light sleeper like me, this can disrupt your sleep"

"My first time staying in Chungking Mansions was completely different from what I'd heard online. The Indian and Filipino folks downstairs were incredibly friendly, and there was absolutely none of the scamming you sometimes find at domestic tourist spots. Even the Indian building manager at our hotel was very courteous; he knew I preferred not to have my room cleaned, so he kept asking if I needed any toiletries or supplies, which was really thoughtful. The young female landlord was also very polite. This experience completely dispelled the prejudices the internet had given me, and I'll definitely consider staying here again in the future."

"The room wasn't large, but it was very clean and quiet. No adapter was needed, as it's compatible with mainland China. There was WiFi and slippers, but please bring your own toothbrush and drinking water. Transportation was incredibly convenient, with Tsim Sha Tsui just downstairs and Victoria Harbour within walking distance. It was a great value. The host was very friendly and responded to and addressed many inquiries in advance. If you're arriving late (after 10 PM), please be sure to contact the host in advance; they will arrange for someone to check you in."

The staff were very kind and helpful throughout my stay. The location is convenient, close to shops, restaurants, and public transport, which made getting around easy.
