Our second story room was directly above the very busy promenade with a great view of the beach and ocean. No elevator, but the checkin gal arranged to have our bags brought to the very spacious room. Looks like the place has had an upgrade and was very clean and comfortable. We did not use the range in the kitchen and took advantage of the full sized refrigerator. The bed was super comfy. The Tiki bar was a riot, an absolutely unforgettable marvellous visit. Great karaoke by the local senior denizens of the area. I loved it. The office was closed at checkout. This place and the surrounding area is a wonderful place to stay and visit. Super close to many bars and restaurants just a stroll down the promenade or through the back neighbourhood meandering through old 2 story funky motels and apartments. The Italian joint Florios already added 18% tip, so I accidentally double tipped the shady waiter

My second time here and loved it even more than the first. Super friendly people in a perfect casual beach atmosphere. Tunes always playing on the stereo or live musicians. Enjoy!

Annabelle was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here so much! Right on the ocean! This is such a comfortable spot and safe for our 15, 14, and 12 year olds to go back and forth on their own to the beach, boardwalk, ice cream, etc. lovely kitchen, cold fridge, everything you need! Will stay again!

The front desk staff was both friendly and accomodating. Our spacious room was clean and comfortable. Great location right on the boardwalk. The food, atmosphere and live music at the tiki bar were great! Loved waking up to the amazing sunrise!

We met the owners of the property, who were absolutely friendly and kind. Our bed wasn’t up to our expectations, when the owner found out we weren’t satisfied, they went into action with a new mattress and pillows brought to our room We couldn’t of asked for any better customer service with a smile Office staff always friendly with a smile to answer any questions We will definitely plan another trip to the riptide!

Bartenders & baristas were great. Bed sheets in room clearly had not been changed upon arrival, there were cigarette burns and black streaks on them. Public bathroom for guests has maybe never been cleaned.

We were disappointed in the severe cuts to the menu at the restaurant. We invited family to join us for dinner expecting to have the same larger number of options as in the past.
Otherwise, you can’t beat the location of being right on the beach. Live music and a very good staff.
