Morning Blossoms Gathered at Dusk Youth Hostel

Very nice place to stay for some nights. Hohhot is beautiful, with extremely nice people.

I can recommend this place. I arrived early in the morning and they let me leave my luggage as well as check in and use the bed. They also sent many instructions with directions. Place is very clean and bed was comfy with lights, fan and a power outlet. Free landry (as of now) with space to dry. First time I received a clean towel without asking in this country. Bathroom has toiletries (soap, toilet paper, shampoo, shower gel, even conditioner). It is possible to meet people in the common area. However, you will need to boil your own drinking water here. They have three kettles, though. Kitchen otherwise only has a sink and a microwave. Biggest downside is that there is only one bathroom for 14 males. People had to wait a lot. And, of course, the cultural downside that people will likely smoke in their beds, spit around, be noisy and that the male bathroom will have urine splashed around as always. I wish there was a table in the common area, too. If you want some local food, make sure to cross the big road and walk into road on the other side. Lots of local eateries on the right side.

Friendly smiling host, always working hard, fast, efficient every morning to clean maintain the place. Bed is comfortable, room is spaciou comoared to other hostels. Minor issue Was everyday spotting cockroaches at the bathroom toilet. Wish that problem is resolved soon for guests. Apart from all that, a great hostel to stay at hohhot and a great location too.

The location was great and the service was friendly, so I decided to stay for two more nights. I would be happy if the bathroom were modernized by the next time I come.

Nice hostel, good space, comfy beds (with lights curtains outlets lockers), reliable internet, men’s dorm side has horrible bathroom smell. Peaceful, quiet, mostly Chinese nationals but we did meet 1 other foreigner. Free laundry machine for use. 17th floor with some view out the windows. I would stay again no problem. See if you can book the dorm with the nice big common area space. It has big glass window view and work tables.

This hostel made for a very comfortable and well located base to explore Hohhot. It is very straightforward to find, located in a large high rise apartment building, with key to the door provided. The owner/manager is very responsive and helpful. The bunk space is great, with everything I needed, and also comes with a fan. I met some very decent people in this hostel which is also an important part of travelling. Highly recommend this place. Just be mindful that Chinese toilets and shower rooms are rather different from European/Western standards. Flipflops provided. Cheers.
