In the first week of February this year we spent 4 days at Monwana Game Lodge in South Africa with 2 other couples. Recently MonWana was crowned the leading game lodge in the world. This crown is more than justified. Our stay at Monwana was pure perfection from the fantastic suites, the beautiful nature, the exquisite food, the tremendously caring staff to the fabulous game drives. We had the most wonderful days in Monwana.The beautiful surroundings and lodges, the nicest staff, the splendid food, the perfect facilities, the best ranger and tracker, who managed to find all the animals (great and small) on our bucketlist, the fancy shop and last but not least the grazing inyala's on our doorstep made us feel more than welcome. THANK YOU for making our stay at Monwana unforgettable!!

It certainly was not our first visit to Monwana but the lodge that more recently has been created and completed by the Monwana team is unique in any respect! You immediately feel at home in the Monwana family, surrounded by excellent service and continued care. Smiling all day for both the team and its guets is no miracle because the Reserve offers more wildlife than you can comprehend, the lodging is unique in respect of food, drinks, sleeping and supports the general feeling of coming home being far away for home! Having returned to the Netherlands yesterday, the only way to make up for the feeling of loss is to book a new stay.

What truly makes Monwana special is the incredible staff. From the moment we arrived, they treated us like family, making our stay feel warm and personal. The lodge itself is brand new, luxurious, and incredibly high quality. The rooms are spacious, with a private pool, both outdoor and indoor showers, and plenty of privacy. It’s the perfect combination of luxury and nature, and we couldn’t have asked for a better safari experience!

What a peaceful welcoming place! Loved the staff, loved the food, loved the game drives! As a travel advisor, I would recommend this lodge all day long to our clients! The rooms were so spacious and well stocked with wonderful amenities and delicious snacks! The massage room was so peaceful, and Mildred was an excellent therapist. Brett, our guide was so knowledgeable and fun, and every day in the bush was another amazing adventure. Hudson was the kindest and most attentive waiter at every meal. And did I mention just how delicious and fresh the food and drinks were? Observing the wildlife in your back yard was a treat every day! But the entire staff is what made it the most special of lodges to visit--service extraordinaire! :)

Monwana - I was told by a friend from Capetown that I was in for a treat and WOW!! Everything was perfect! The beautiful accommodation and main lodge - the lovely messages left in our accommodation by housekeeping everyone morning and evening, the amazing game drives with so many sightings of the big 5, the knowledge of our driver and tracker - and their incredible sense of humour - the food and beverages with personalised recommendations from the chefs -Monwana has set the bar so high! Just so special!

Geweldige sfeer, lief (ranger) team en fantastische service! Wij hebben er een familie bij (Monwana family) en hopen nog eens terug te komen. De drives waren super gaaf en we hebben veel geleerd over alle dieren. Het eten en drinken was heerlijk en de lodges onvoorstelbaar mooi en schoon.
