Tangala Safari Camp was everything I hoped it would be. Laid-back, authentic, and deeply connected to the landscape around it. Nestled right in the heart of the Thornybush reserve, this place offers that classic safari feel without any of the pretense. What really made the stay stand out was the camp staff. Every single person we met was kind, attentive, and clearly loved being part of this wild corner of the world. Their warmth and care made all the difference. One of the most memorable moments came when a huge thunderstorm rolled through. Being in the tents during that storm was unforgettable. The sound of the rain on canvas, the flashes of lightning cracking across the bushveld, the deep rumble of thunder. It was thrilling and honestly one of the best ways to feel just how alive the African bush really is. Tangala has a way of slowing you down in the best possible sense. I’m grateful for the time I spent there and would happily return.

We've been returning to Tangala over many years now. There's a reason for this, i.e. its a lovely safari camp that continues to offer some of the best wildlife sightings you'll see anywhere in the area. For a more detailed review of the camp please refer to my previous reviews. However, summarise it to say, this is still a very authentic camp run by people who care for their guests with the same passion that they hold for the wildlife that surrounds them.

Wir haben 2 Nächte in diesem wunderbaren Camp verbracht. Man schläft in Safarizelten, die ein bisschen älter sind, aber allen Komfort bieten, den man im Bush braucht. Die Betten sind bequem und die Dusche bietet heißes Wasser. Alles ist tip-top sauber. Das Personal ist total freundlich und bemüht sich alles nach den Wünschen der Gäste zu machen. Wir wurden excellent bekocht und der Tisch fürs Abendessen war liebevoll in der sogenannten Boma gedeckt, wenn wir von der Abendsafari zurück kamen. Im Aufenthalt sind täglich eine Morgen- und eine Abendsafari enthalten. Wir waren mit Nasreen, der Spurensucherin und Chinese, der Lodge Managerin und Jeepfahrerin unterwegs. Die beiden bilden ein Top-Team und wir haben so tolle Tierbeobachtungen gehabt und eine Menge über die Natur gelernt. Insbesondere die Morning Drives fanden wir sensationell. Unterwegs gibt es ein kleines Bush-Frühstück. Wir bedanken uns bei dem ganzen Tangala Safari Camp dafür, dass sie uns so tolle Tage bereitet haben. Ihr werdet immer in unserer Erinnerung sein! Wir können das Tangala auf jeden Fall empfehlen und würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.

Me and my family love Tangala Safari Camp. They have nice clean room with delicious meal. The staffs also amazing, kind and friendly. The game reserve are two times a day with great tracker and driver. We managed to see the big five! We can also relaxing at the pool and see the wild animals passing by. Also it's easy to captured birds from the lodge. In overall, it was great experience and love South Africa! Hope to be back soon👍🙂

Overnachten in een tent, ik had er van tevoren een hard hoofd in. Maar het was fantastisch. De ontvangst door Louis was goed en de bagage werd ondertussen in de tent gezet. Luxe! De tent was groot, het bed was prima. De badkamer was simpel, maar functioneel. In de tent stonden 2 prima stoelen en buiten waren er twee campingstoelen. Het was erg heet toen wij er waren, maar slapen met alle "ramen" open ging prima. Geen last van het licht 's morgens, we werden toch om 5 uur gewekt voor de ochtendsafari. De safari's waren schitterend. Erg gaaf om dwars door de bush te rijden om een luipaard zo goed mogelijk in beeld te krijgen. Heel erg veel dieren gezien in 2 dagen tijd, echt geweldig. Het eten was prima. De service ook, Kenny zorgde goed voor ons. Er zijn comfortabele banken in het hoofdgebouw waar je een stuk koeler dan bij je tent kan zitten. En daar heb je uitzicht op de drinkplaats. En voor je het weet zie je daar je eerste olifanten of zebra's!

Die Buchung über das Camp direkt und African Anthology hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Wir können das Camp nur empfehlen. Die Zelte sind sehr sauber und werden täglich zweimal geputzt. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und alle stets bemüht, dass man sich wohl fühlt. Auch das High Tea ist mit einem normalen Mittagessen zu vergleichen. Am Pool vor dem Wasserloch sieht man täglich unterschiedliche Tiere. Die Game Drives waren super, wir haben alle big 5 gesehen. Unser Spotter Costa und Fahrer Luis waren wirklich klasse. Die nicht inkludierten Getränke sind preislich ok, also sollte man sich hierüber keine Gedanken machen.

Waauw wat een unieke ervaring! Verblijf in de tenten en warmwaterkruiken meekrijgen om te slapen De kans gekregen om de the big5 te zien. Alles was tot in de puntjes zeer goed! Lekker eten, fijne ontvangst, leuke gamedrive. We hebben er enorm van genoten en zeker en vast een aanrader! We willen er onmiddellijk terug zijn ＜3
