Kapama Kalura is a five star resort, excellent accommodations and the wildlife and staff were fantastic! Highly recommend this safari.

The first impression of the nature and hotel architecture were stunning. Beautiful setting! Staff members were outstanding! Melody was so professional and warm. Elvis, Shane and Sindile made our visit so memorable. They were very professional, attentive and knowledgeable. Karula is lucky to have them! Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend this place!

The staff was incredible. We received personalized five star treatment from pickup from the airport to waving goodbye on departure. We saw rhinos, leopards, elephants, lions, and everything in between. There were only a few native animals we did not see. The ranger and the tracker were exceptional at locating the animals. 5 star top to bottom. Looking forward to the next time.

We have been here before and love coming back. Why do we keep coming? The staff are like family, the food is fantastic and the game drives are spectacular. As a keen photographer, I love sharing this interest with our Guide and Tracker, who know are also interested in photography giving the trip and sightings that extra fine touch of great lighting and positioning. Overall fantastic.

What a fabulous time we had at Kapama, a Private Game Reserve bordering Kruger National Park! This is a private reserve commanding world-class prices, but also delivering world-class service. If you want to live like a billionaire, if just for a few days, this is an excellent option. You will never forget it! Our suite was beyond amazing, as were the staff and amenities. Two game drives daily (we did all 4 for our 2 night stay, including a bush walk where the ranger carries a .458 WinMag with solid brass slug ammo, just in case). There are a few really nice amenities in the have drives, like hot water bottles and blankets when it's cold (we were there in Spring), but I won't spoil the surprises, as the WOW factor would be diminished (but not lost, as it never got old). You could spend far less money on a game lodge inside the Park, and even hire a private guide for a day for less than the regular price of any Kapama lodge option, but we would use this facility again in a heart beat! As Nike says, "Just do it!". You won't be sorry.

This was our 4th stay at Karula and from the moment we were picked up at the airport, it was like being around family and friends. The staff work together to provide an outstanding experience. Accommodations are comfortable and well appointed. You won't go hungry and the breakfast, lunch and dinner options will pretty much suit all requirements. As for the game drives - wow wow wow! Big 5 - no problems. Do yourself the favour and stay longer than the usual 2-3 nights. We stayed for 6 and because we weren't 'rushed'' with the drives, we were able to observe animal behaviours that many miss and/or have to share with others.

We enjoyed every minute of our time at Kapama Karula. The accommodations were luxurious. The food was wonderful. The staff was friendly and professional and the game drives and bush walks were spectacular. Special thanks to our Ranger Bongani and Tracker Tumelo whose knowledge of the animals made every game drive and bush walk a unique treat.
