Our stay at Kapama was nothing short of spectacular — truly the best safari experience we could have ever imagined. The lodge is beautiful, the food is exceptional, and the service is world-class, but the real heart of this trip — the part we will be talking about for the rest of our lives — was our game drives with Thabo (our guide) and Martial (our tracker). These two are, without exaggeration, the best guide/tracker team anyone could hope for. Their skill, instincts, knowledge, positioning, and teamwork are on a completely different level. Every drive felt like a masterclass in wildlife, a cinematic adventure, and a deeply personal journey all at once. They read the land with an almost instinctive precision, found animals we never thought we’d see, and created moments that were genuinely emotional for us. Their passion, warmth, humor, and patience made every minute in that vehicle an absolute joy. If you are considering Kapama — go. Truly, just go. You will not regret it. And when you do, do absolutely everything you can to request Thabo and Martial. We cannot emphasize this enough. They transformed our trip into something extraordinary, something we will cherish forever. Beyond the game drives, the lodge itself is outstanding. The food was consistently delicious, and the service — especially from Phidi, who looked after us for every meal — was warm, attentive, and made us feel completely at home. Kapama is a special place, run by incredible people who love what they do. We arrived excited, we left in love, and we already can’t wait to return.
