NH Collection Helsinki Grand Hansa

The location, service, cleanliness, and facilities are all excellent. The one thing I would like to add is this - I am a person who works out at the gym a lot. I have my own requirements when it comes to gym facilities. From my past experience in travelling, even for top 5 star hotels, the gym generally speaking at just so - so. For NH collection Helsinki, frankly speaking this is the first hotel gym I ever encountered that has a proper squat rack - and with proper bars - and with proper plates. I have never seen this before. Most 5-star hotel gyms, at most, has a "smith machine" only. With a proper squat rack, a lot of serious workouts can be done - bench press, squat, and deadlift. Therefore, I give extra credit to NH collection Helsinki for having the vision to house a proper squat rack.

This is a really 5 Stars Hotel in the heart of Helsinki.  The infrastructure, the amenities, the services are impeccable from check-in to check-out and everything in between. Doormen are courteous and friendly. The Housekeepers are friendly, meticulous and polite.  The Gym is one of the best in the hotel industry. It is so well equipped for all muscle groups you wish to work on.  When one of my friend’s room and some issues, it was immediately remedied and service recovery was swift and effective.  Our rooms were actually extended and drinks grated gratis to wow us. I must say Willem Hagedoorn (the Deputy Hotel Manager) was really generous! All 5 of us were very impressed by the high quality customer service and first class hospitality standard of  NH Collection - we were delighted!  I even got a Birthday surprise from the Guest Relations Manager.
