Four things in total!
First, before checking in, the hotel called to confirm my check-in time and asked if I had any special requests. I said I wanted a higher floor because I like quiet and don't want to be disturbed by neon lights in the middle of the night. However, when I checked in, the front desk gave the only two remaining rooms on the 12th floor to people who had booked online, and assigned us to the 6th floor! They even said we could check out if we didn't stay! Their attitude was incredibly aggressive! They lacked even the most basic courtesy of a service representative!
Second, we went out to eat right after checking in and didn't properly inspect the room. When we returned that night and were about to retire, we found three hairs of varying lengths on the bed. The mattress was incredibly damp. I barely slept the first half of the night, tossing and turning constantly. I seriously doubt the hotel changed the sheets!
Third, the door lock on my room was broken, and there was no way to lock it from inside. After contacting the front desk, a male manager made several calls but couldn't find anyone to repair it. He eventually repaired the door himself, a process that took almost 30 minutes! I'm so grateful to the male manager. If it weren't for him, I probably wouldn't have been able to sleep all night because I couldn't lock the door, which was completely unsafe!
Fourth, after dinner on the second night of my stay, I returned to my room and found several inexplicable red marks on the sheets. I contacted the hotel front desk to check the security cameras, but they told me they didn't have access and only the manager could see it, so they would have to get back to me the next day. Now, it's been three days, and no one has replied!
