The location is very good as it is right next to St. Joseph's Cathedral. The price is also good for the value. Nearby Hoan Kiem attractions are all within walking distance. It is not a luxury hotel, so it is not recommended for couples.

We chose the Splendid Pearlight for its location, right next to the Hanoi Cathedral in the heart of the old quarter. This landmark makes it easy to navigate when walking or booking a Grab for transport. There are also a million excellent restaurants in the area. The hotel itself is renovated inside but retains some of the old colonial charm, the room was clean and the beds were comfy (excellent pillows!). The included breakfast is well worth it, their noodle soup is delicious and even our picky kids found stuff they liked at the breakfast buffet. Good strong Vietnamese coffee too!

Great old property next to Hanoi Cathedral, clean renovated rooms with comfy beds and pillows, restaurant downstairs is excellent and the staff were all friendly and helpful, even when we checked in at 2:00am! Overall highly recommended!
