Hanoi Center View Hotel and Spa

Title: Misleading, Miserable, and Overrated — Avoid at All Costs I’ve stayed in dozens of hotels across Hanoi, and this was by far the worst experience. Calling it a “hotel” is a joke — it’s barely a hostel. The room was tiny, damp, and reeked of mildew. Everything felt wet, from the sheets to the walls. The service? Nonexistent. Staff were either absent or indifferent, and basic requests were ignored. What’s even more outrageous is the rating. 8.6 on Trip.com? That’s beyond comprehension. This place doesn’t deserve more than a 4, and that’s being generous. To make matters worse, the hotel name and address didn’t match what was advertised online — a bait-and-switch that borders on fraud. If you value comfort, honesty, and basic hygiene, steer clear. Hanoi has plenty of great places — this is not one of them.

Highly recommend++ For the price we paid it is so much better than we expected! The rooms are comfortable and spacious, they have cooling aircon and water heaters also. The receptionist greeted us with a smile. The location is perfect because it’s right in the middle of most places, including the old quarters, train street, and Hoem Kiem Lake. There is a very nice skewers stall around the corner also. We enjoyed our stay very much!

The receptionist is terrible. Left all our passport on the table and disappear for 15 minutes not back. Also quite disorganise.

The hotel location is different on the receipt.I don’t know the location when I come to hotel. Another thing is the name difference on the receipt and on the sign board.

Everything was perfect: the hotel was spotless, the and the staff incredibly kind and helpful. A truly enjoyable stay – highly recommended!

Hotel service is great, will choose this hotel for next trip to Sapa
