Not good, the room is very humid, the water is salty, too simple, breakfast and dinner have to be paid extra, the price-performance ratio is very low, I wanted to return, but the way in and out is too difficult, so in the end I could only make do with one night, and the next day I went to the park and quickly escaped from this damn place

Our stay at Mahoora tented Camp was an unforgettable experience. We were two families with two children each and spent three nights there. Everything was perfect: the facilities in the tents, the camp itself, the delicious breakfast and the atmospheric BBQ dinner around the campfire under the stars, where the children were allowed to grill marshmallows. The entire team was incredibly friendly and accommodating and especially warm with our children. We will never forget the numerous experiences that the team of guides and naturalists made possible for us and our children: Afternoon walk with exciting information about plants and animals with a great sunset. Night walk, during which we marveled at sleeping lizards, spiders, turtles and a nesting bird. A morning safari by jeep, where we saw lots of different animals and were able to learn an incredible amount about the animals and their habitat from our guides Dilhara and Aroun. And last but not least, the wonderful children's program, where our kids painted their experiences and made animals out of clay. There was also a great lesson on nature conservation and ecosystems for our children. They were made aware of our responsibility, the value of nature and how to treat animals with respect. A thousand thanks to all the staff for making our stay a phenomenal nature experience.

Nos hemos alojado una noche en el campamento. Nos fue difícil de encontrar ya que las señales no son muy visibles y llegamos que ya había oscurecido. Pero una vez allí, todo muy bien. La cena, es BBQ, pero pedimos a la carta de forma anticipada y pedimos demasiado! Fueron muy amables de empaquetarnos las sobras para el día siguiente. Y el hecho de cenar bajo las estrellas, merece la pena! La tienda muy chula. Con dos ventiladores que tuvimos abiertos toda la noche, ya que hacía calor, pero perfectamente entendible ya que te encuentras en medio de la jungla. Las camas son un poco duras pero para una noche es correcto. Nos costó dormir por los ruidos de los animales ya que no estamos habituados. Pero fue una aventura brutal para los chicos! Pedimos el safari a Yala que organizaban ellos y nos encnató! El precio, similar a otras ofertas, y te recogen y dejan de vuelta en el campamento. Muy recomendable.

Really nice stay here, get clean and the tents are luxury !! Staff are very attentive and the whole setting is beautiful. The safari was absolutely excellent, organising everything for us and we also saw an abundance of animals, even a leopard !! Our driver was excellent, and huge amount of respect goes to Vimansha, safari guide (zoologist) , who’s knowledge was incredible, giving us loads of facts about each and every animal we saw, made it a great experience !!!

Überteuert und schlecht organisiert – leider keine Empfehlung Wir haben zwei Nächte im Mahoora Safari Camp verbracht und können den hohen Preis von 650 USD rückblickend nicht rechtfertigen. Die Safari war deutlich kürzer als erwartet – von den vier Stunden ging ein großer Teil für Anfahrt, Frühstück und Rückfahrt drauf. Die Tierbeobachtung kam dadurch zu kurz. Das Zelt war optisch ansprechend, aber nicht insekten- oder tiersicher. Eine Schlange in direkter Nähe wurde vom Personal kaum ernst genommen. Die Verbindung zwischen den zwei Zelten war total offen. Die Brücke zum Zelt war beschädigt, ich habe mir gleich mal den Knöchel verstaucht. Lautstärke in der Nacht: Eine Party im Nachbarhotel störte massiv bis in die frühen Morgenstunden. Unsere Beschwerde blieb unbeantwortet. Wir konnten bis 02.30 Uhr kein Auge zumachen. Frühstück war – trotz des Preises – nicht inkludiert. Für zwei Frühstücke und zwei Bier wurden 45 USD extra berechnet. Das Abendessen war an beiden Abenden nahezu identisch. Kaum Abwechslung beim Hauptgang und alles bis auf die Suppe war eiskalt. Der Poolbereich war leer und ungemütlich – keine Liegen, kein Schatten, keine Atmosphäre. Keine Badetücher .. nichts! Relaxing Area? Fazit: Freundliches Servicepersonal allein reicht nicht. Es fehlt an Struktur, Sicherheit und Qualität. Wir würden das Camp nicht noch einmal buchen. Absolut keine Empfehlung!

Erg goed. Rond 5.30 vertrek je van het camp en het is maar 15 minuten rijden naar het National Park. We hadden de hele safari een gids die ons alles wist te vertellen over alle dieren en planten. Wij hebben het geluk gehad dat we de Big 5 van Sri Lanka allemaal hebben mogen zien, dus dat helpt wel met de beoordeling. Het blijven natuurlijk wel wilde dieren dus de kans dat je ze allemaal ziet is erg klein. Het is een vrij prijzige Safari maar voor ons het zeker waard!

Wir haben zwei Nächte hier verbracht und unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Neben unserem gemütlichen Zelt und einem Pool, der für eine erfrischende Abkühlung sorgte, war die ganztägige Safari ein absolutes Highlight. Mit den Kindern konnten wir beeindruckende Momente erleben – darunter die Sichtung eines Leoparden, verschiedener Wildtiere und majestätischer Elefanten. Das gesamte Team war durchweg freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit, was unseren Aufenthalt besonders angenehm machte. Ein wunderbarer Ort für Familien und Naturfreunde!

So far one of the best experiences I had while traveling. The location was stunning, the tents are well positioned and walking to reaching them in the nature at night is amazing. Naturalist guides that brings you in the safari are at top level!
