This is a great hotel if you are interested in resting for a day in the middle of your trip. The location is good, 10 minutes away walking from a pedestrian street with plenty of establishments and restaurants. The hotel offers great views with included free activities, in which I took part of two: the Miao Ethnicity photoshoot session and the ******* bowl sound healing. It has a pool which unfortunately I couldn't try as I'm traveling in March, and is too cold, but I did enjoy the terrace views during both day and night. The butler service is quite attentive, answering quickly to our doubts and offered a plate of fresh fruit upon arrival. We didn't eat in the hotel, instead we preferred to order from outside, and a Keenon delivery robot makes sure to deliver the order directly to your room. The suite was spacious and clean, with a lovely decor. I really enjoyed staying here and highly recommend it for families and couples.

Nice location and nice room with nice view.
The lobby staff (娟子，陶子） are friendly and working fast for the check-in and check-out process.
The cleaner (秀秀） is thoughtful enough and great observer by preparing more bottles of water for us when she saw there is milk powder in room.
The concierges are helpful too. Always there to give a hand to the guests.
The package we booked come with free essential oil massage and photography session for 1pax. The massager number 3 is friendly and professional, applying consistent pressure and give full body relax during the massage session. While during the photography session, the make up artist provide good make up and the photographer is giving good leads in teaching how to pose.
Overall experiences are good and happy with it. Will revisit next time when go Guilin again

Overall a very nice hotel but I wouldn't give it 5 stars. In my opinion it's more of a 3-4 star boutique hotel. The room was very large and nice, with 3 panoramic windows to the courtyard in front of the entrance. No unpleasant smells, one window with mosquito net. The TV didn't work, meaning it didn't have regular channels connected. The bathroom very large but unfortunately without any heating. In my opinion too cold for a bath or shower. Leaving the door to the room open and raising the room thermostat to 30 degrees Celsius didn't change anything. Welcome fruits were very nice. Free afternoon tea modest, exactly as shown on the photo during booking. Amenities with too strong for my taste, masculine smell. Based on the number of seats in the dining room (only 24), I think it's a really small hotel, so the breakfast had a very limited choice and quantity, but it was tasty. At the check out each guest receives a pack of local tea. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is connected by bus 18 or 100 with Guilin North station but I don't recommend taking bus. First of all, tickets from Guangzhou or Shenzhen should work, but they didn't, and neither did Allipay. One ticket costs 2 yuan, and you can pay in cash. More importantly, there is no overground crossing between the nearest bus stop and the hotel. You have to use an underground passage [a lot of stairs, no lift], and with suitcases it's a big problem. In the other direction, from the hotel to the station, there's no such problem. Taxi cost around 0.25 euros per kilometer.

This is my most value for money stay for a long time. I was given a free upgrade and the staff were really pleasant and helpful. The room was extremely spacious and heater warmed up the room well despite the single digit temperature. Had a morning breakfast buffet for 38rmb which is quite value for money for the choice of selection. Would totally recommend this to anyone.
Also book a day trip to Longji Rice Terrace from their service desk for 200rmb which was also one of the cheapest I can find.

My family checked in on Oct 24. We stayed for 3 nights. We were happy with our stay in this hotel and would recommend friends to stay in. We also had our rooms upgraded to larger units.
Prior to that, we had a warm reception by Xiao Wan and he even personally helped to bring our luggage to our rooms. He also recommended places to eat and visit.
There were welcome fruit and sweet snacks and even brewed desert of white fungus for each of us which we never had before on our trips..
The views from the restaurant on the 7th floor were fantastic. We wished we had stayed longer.
We will definitely stay in this hotel when we visit Guilin again.

I went to try the spa (aromatherapy package), was expecting a relaxing massage but I think the masseur lacks the skills. She use brute force and continously rub on the same spot over and over. I had red bruises all over my back. Had to keep reminding her to be more gentle, I had more aches instead of feeling relaxed.

Wonderful stay at this hotel. Unfortunately, we had to check out early, but the staff was very kind and helpful with everything during the entire stay.
One thing to note is that this hotel seems to specialize in group tour stays, so the hallways were exceptionally loud throughout our entire stay at all hours of the day and night so bring earplugs.

GGuest UserHad an amazing 2 night stay at the Tong Resort - it’s well located near Shili Gallery but super peaceful with only 9 rooms. Chinese resorts are usually really loud and busy but Tong resort was pure serenity. The rooms are spacious and has all the amenities you need, not to mention the view from the balcony (simply stunning) and you will never go hungry with a great breakfast, afternoon tea and evening desserts. The staff really go above and beyond, nothing is too trouble much trouble for them. 10/10, highly recommend.

GGuest UserThe stay at SYYF was one of the best hotels I’ve ever been to. The room is cozy and spacious, with gorgeous floor to ceiling windows with a great view of the mountains. It’s also a hi tech smart room with a voice controlled assistant, Xiaodu, that can control the lights and open/shut the curtains (though it only understands Chinese). There’s also a cute tea set which is great for relaxing by the window. The room is equipped with AC and heat that works great, and the lights can go from bright to a dimmer evening mode, as well as sleep. We also got complimentary sodas, extremely cozy robes and nice house shoes for lounging. The breakfast is served 8-10AM is was definitely one of the best we have experienced in China while traveling. It was robust and offered both regional and western cuisine.
There is a lot of ongoing construction on the street that the property is on so be careful. It may be a bit of traffic congestion due to large machines, however the noise was not heard from our room. It might be challenging for Didi drivers to access but there are also e-scooters for rent for about 30 yuan per day.
The hotel is surrounded by mountains which are lit up at night for a gorgeous landscape at any time.
The welcome photoshoot was fun, with traditional clothes you can borrow. We spent about 30-45 minutes using different props across 3 locations on the property, and got tons of photos that we loved.
The staff is so accommodating and responsive and they helped with every little question. The bring lots of thoughtful small pleasantries which added a special touch and made us feel very cherished. They also offered a free shuttle for our departure ride to the train station at the end of our stay.
We came in early January and the weather was chilly at night and pleasant during the day. With a jacket it’s not too bad and on a sunny day it’s pleasant with a cool breeze.
We had a massage too, which you can order to your room or go to the spa which is close, and they provide shuttle service. The massage was good but a bit pricey even with the 50% off. There are less expensive places in the town not too far away.
West street is a popular tourist spot which is also close, about 15-20 minutes away by e-scooter. There’s plenty of shopping, restaurants and a little night life, but we didn’t go out during this trip.
10/10 experience and I would definitely recommend staying here! I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when I come back to Yangshuo, and this place makes you REALLY want to come back!

GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stay at Four Seasons Yunqi resort. The rooms are huge and the location is good. It’s just a short distance away from West street (Xijie) and the resort provides free shuttle to a few places including Xijie. The resort is still in the process of expanding so I believe it will be better in the months to come. A great shout out to the resort team serving the guests. We speak Mandarin so all is well but we are not sure if they can converse well in English though.

JJason CorbettWe had a very pleasant stay at Zen Garden Resort. The staff are very kind and helpful, and can arrange free shuttles to anywhere within 7km of the Resort (which is close enough for several attractions and Yangshuo town). The room was quite spacious and comfortable, with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. We particularly enjoyed the incense and tea in the room which set a very relaxing mood. The Resort also offers a range of activities like breathing meditations in the morning and lantern decorating at night which we enjoyed. The restaurant was especially excellent for all meals, and even provide free afternoon tea from 3-4pm. The fat cat in the lobby, Baozi, and the small dogs were lovely to have around. It’s within about 10-20 minutes drive away from most attractions the area, but there are also some nice walks you can do around the Resort. A bit on the expensive side, but you will definitely have a good time here.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at 聚龙小镇, and it was everything I hoped for and more! From the moment I arrived, the beautiful surroundings and luxurious ambiance set the tone for an unforgettable experience.
The resort is located in a stunning area, surrounded by mountains. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and it truly felt like a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. My room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and offered a fantastic view of the mountains. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved the hot tub.
One of the highlights of my stay was the wide range of activities and amenities available. There is free photography offered and everyday high tea and supper, there was always something to do.
Dining at 聚龙小镇was also exceptional. The on-site restaurants offered a variety of delicious options. The staff was incredibly attentive, making sure dinner was a memorable experience. I particularly enjoyed the fish and chicken.
What truly made this stay special, however, was the exceptional service. Every staff member went out of their way to ensure that my needs were met and that I felt pampered throughout my visit. From the concierge who helped me plan excursions to the housekeeping team who kept my room spotless, the level of service was top-notch.
Overall, my stay at 聚龙小镇exceeded all expectations, and I can’t wait to return. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, adventure, or simply a luxurious getaway, this resort offers it all. Highly recommend!

AAnonymous UserThis time on my trip, I chose to stay at this hotel. The stay experience far exceeded my expectations. It was simply a pleasant journey for both body and mind.
The hotel is right by the Lijiang River. Standing on the balcony, you can enjoy the scenery of the Lijiang River. The architectural style of the hotel is unique. The decoration in the room is elegant, making people feel a warm and peaceful atmosphere.
The service staff of the hotel are extremely warm and friendly. From check-in to check-out, every link makes me feel at home. In particular, the reception staff at the front desk are not only considerate in service but also very patiently answered all my questions.
The hotel's facilities are very complete, with facilities such as a gym, swimming pool, and SPA, allowing me to maintain health and vitality even during my trip. I also participated in some special experience activities. For example, the SPA project reserved at the hotel made me completely relax.
In general, this stay experience in Yangshuo, Guilin is extremely wonderful!

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful time at Yang Shuo Sugar House. The architecture of the property was breathtaking. Everywhere you look was so interesting. My favourite part was at night time when they would shine the lights on a mountain with their hotel name and a clear view of the stars.
The service was impeccable. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful.
Our room was comfortable and clean. We loved the bathtub and spacious shower.
We also had a complimentary photo shoot, yoga Class, welcome drinks for our family.
We loved the pictures!
We hope to return again to beautiful Yang Shuo ❤️

EExpatThis is an absolutely beautiful hotel. As a solo traveler, I do feel that it’s good for one night to experience that design and pampering space. There are bus tour groups which go there and seem to work well with the KTV, Buffet meals, and lounging areas.
From my trip, I stayed for two days after the Chinese Qixing Festival. It was really nice to arrive and have access to the teatime snacks and desserts as well as the wonderful architecture and furniture design. The outdoor pool is nice, however the indoor pool charges 50 yuan because they offer drinks and snacks. The only drinks and snacks they offered were juice boxes and some fruit. One employee told me that there were cocktails available. The exercise room and yoga room were set up very nice. The shower rooms very clean. I would not pay for the indoor swimming pool in my opinion based on the drink/snacks.
The bar that is advertised from some user photos does not exist. Some employees said it was open, others said not. Management can communicate that better, as a lush hotel should have a solid lounge. The tea lounge does not have any alcohol drinks available, but rather decoration of wine bottles. The design is gorgeous though. One employee told me that they ran out of alcohol due to holiday, and another employee told me that there was a bar open which really was not. I simply went to get my own spirits when I wanted a cocktail (made in my room).
Other than that, everything in the hotel was fine. My room was really lovely with the exception of the fact that you cannot go out on the balconies and there is a smoke smell from the carpet. The hotel gladly gave me a an air purifier to help alleviate the smell. My opinion is that the power should be sat on before a guest checks into their room. I had to change the filter over the two days. It did not appear that the KTV was open (maybe epidemic), I decided to go hang out in town, but enjoyed the Victorian flair when relaxing.
Overall, the comfort, bathing, and relaxation was great. The breakfast is really delicious, and the service of the employees all around was impeccable despite the fact that they could not offer all of the amenities. It seems an OK place for families/photos as well since the property is unique. The 50 yuan for tea time was probably the most valuable, and the room service staff are detailed. The butler/reception very professional, Ayi staff amazing. Transportation quite easy.

Our recent stay at the Shangri-La Hotel Guilin was an absolute delight. While the food offerings were decent, the exceptional service from the staff truly elevated our experience.

She went above and beyond to make our stay special, especially as we were celebrating my wife's birthday. The thoughtful room decorations and the delicious complimentary cake were a wonderful surprise.
