Situated about a mile from the A1, the hotel is conveniently located for a short break, business meeting or special celebration.
Our 103 tastefully decorated guest rooms are in the newer wings of the hotel that are connected to the original barn, and all have tea and coffee-making facilities, free Wi-Fi and a work desk. Our most luxurious rooms have four-poster beds and spa baths, so you can live like a king or queen here!
The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the charming village of Marston and 10 minutes by car from the center of Grantham. If you want to explore further, there are lots of interesting places to visit in the area, including several stately homes. Grade I-listed Belvoir Castle is about a 20-minute drive away, while Grimsthorpe Castle has exquisite gardens and family activities to enjoy. Nature lovers can explore the reed beds and rare bird species at Grantham Canal, while history buffs will discover King Johns links to Newark Castle.
After a busy day of activities, why not unwind in our health club and spa? It has an indoor pool, sauna and gym. If you have kids with you, we can keep them entertained on our PlayStation while you relax.

The place is dated in need of modernisation carpets were danaged doors needed painting and the furniture was chipped requiring major works

Not happy as I stayed at the hotel twice Jus so I can use the spa but first time I over slept and 2nd time was told that because we are checking out today and only have 20m left till checkout we cant use the spa Not happy at all the person in the spa was not nice at all stayed there on Sunday 20th July till Monday 21st July 2025 and the previous Sunday to Monday 🙁

Very nice night, receptionist even let us have extra biscuits and made sure everything was okay for us ! only downside is that we wanted to stay 1-2 hours extra after checkout for the pool which cost £30. We will be back

Whenever I travel south from N Yorks I always try and stay at The Barn hotel. I have had many visits here and they always satisfy. The staff at check in are always friendly and fuss free. The bar staff are efficient and the food is very good and reasonably priced. The parking is free and there is an overflow near the spa. The Spa staff are always friendly and the pool and sauna is a real treat during my stays at no extra cost. There is a hotel I use occasionally that charges and extra £12 to use the pool which I find exploitative. The room I stayed in (816) recently was lovely. The bed was huge and comfortable. Staying on the ground floor is always a bonus for me as I have lots of luggage to move around. Looking forward to my next stay. Well done to all staff at this fantastic hotel. M
