Baymont by Wyndham Grand Rapids Near Downtown

Full disclosure; I booked my stay here because it was right off the highway and I didn't feel like getting immediately lost. I fully expected to change hotels the following night. However, the room was clean, the staff was friendly and the smoking area was enclosed meaning I didn't have to stand out front so I wound up staying. And the AC worked! Seriously, a lot of places miss this so I just wanted to mention it. I always welcome free coffee, and the donuts in the morning definitely helped. When room service arrived they were polite, friendly and in and out like a NASCAR pit crew. I also dig the Mexican restaurant right down the street and being able to bring the food back and microwave it in my room was a huge plus. Having just relocated from the other side of the country and spending more at certain various chains (including one I'll not name but never spend a holiday in) I'm not sure what I expected when I got there but, well, cleanliness and friendliness go a long way. Thanks to the staff for being groovy.

This place is not fit for pet as I littirly witnessed asingl mom with 4 kids who they kicked out at 3 am in the morning becouse she was short of 30 dollar i guess they let her stay for the amount left un her bank and that was untill 3 am. This indian family guess think it is normal to kick a mom and 4 kids out at three am, to call the family and tell them to pack as her money was coming in the morning, ????? I will never forgive them, so when I see B whyndam, baymont, days inn i remember lucy the 7 year old sleepy in the lobby at 3 am.

Looked liked someone puked In the sink the toilet was clogged. Breakfast was cereal and bagels. Said they would take care of me and give me a discount. They didn’t so had to confront them before I left. It was a nightmare

This hotel was absolutely disgusting. There was mold everywhere, the floors were sticky, holes in the ceiling, and staff is not the most respectful.

when we got to our room we notice the toylet sit was broke. i info the person at desk. itwas never even look at all time we was there. 2 day later we ask desk for towels and toylet paper. they never brought any to room. next day i went to desk and he gave me a roll said he was to busy with customers to bring to room. i told i was a customer.
