"We are very satisfied with the hotel, its staff, room equipment and food. The hotel is in line with its description and the price-performance ratio. The staff is very nice, friendly, helpful and also very premature. The room is very spacious and well equipped. And the food is very varied, very delicious and rich. From main food, from pre-suppe and salad to dessert, everything is in place and you can hardly decide what you want to eat now. So, from everything, a small sample - and you do nothing bad! It's always liked to be again!"

"It's difficult to rate a hotel that combines so many positive and negative aspects. On the plus side: the rooms are great, the bathroom too, the breakfast was decent, and the staff (the few that were there) were friendly. But the fact that in a hotel of this size, the reception isn't staffed after 10 p.m. and there's no evening service at the bar is quite disappointing. The quiet location, despite the train station, is a plus. Oddly enough, if you request to park in the huge gravel parking lot, it costs an extra 8 euros. Or you can park for free next to it. Why not just leave it free? The worst thing, however, is the excessively stiff door handles on the room doors; and nobody can tell me that no one has complained yet about everyone in the hotel being jolted awake in the middle of the night and early in the morning when a door slams shut with a deafening noise, making the whole floor vibrate. Sleep was therefore poor and short."

"The main house, where breakfast is served, is the older part: the “Romantic Hotel”. The well-inspired northern African castle behind it is “Burg Hotel” and was built and equipped by the current operator by 2012 according to its own ideas. In short, whether the unusual furniture is historical, Spanish or Gelsenkirchen Barock is placed there; the very quiet rooms of the Castle Hotel cover all the guests' claims, The staff is very helpful and the boss and owner works with 🎩. We are happy to come back."

"We stayed here for 4 nights and would thoroughly recommend it. The reception staff were both welcoming and organised. Our room was very comfortable, quiet and clean. Both breakfast and dinner (we ate there on two evenings) at the hotel were excellent. The restaurant was well staffed; everyone was very friendly and helpful. It was good to see just how hands-on the senior management team were in what is a family run hotel. To their credit, the whole establishment ran very smoothly indeed. The hotel is perfectly located at the end of parkland next to the Schloss (itself well worth visiting) with extensive free, safe public car parking directly opposite the main entrance. There is apparently also private parking on site if required at busier times of the year. Within easy walking distance is the quiet town with restaurants and, in the other direction, the railway station from where it is less than 30 minutes to Eisenach and Erfurt. In short, the perfect place to stay when visiting this area: I would recommend it without hesitation or reservation and would like to thank all the staff for looking after us so well."

"Nothing pretentious about this hotel. It gave a very good overnight stop with an excellent evening meal. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bedroom and corridors were rather dated. I would guess it was built in the 1970s but there was absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. Quite close to the railway station and tram stop. I would certainly stay here again."
