My husband and I visited this hotel to look at the gardens, when we were staying elsewhere. The hotel and gardens were so lovely and peaceful we decided to extend our trip and Ben at reception booked us in for the following night and was kind enough to offer us an upgrade, which was much appreciated. The room was lovely. The cream tea served outside at a table on the lawn by the Azalea Glasshouse was delicious. The Pianist playing in the Drawing Room where we had pre-dinner drinks created a welcoming atmosphere and dinner was wonderful, as was the extensive breakfast the following morning. What set the hotel apart however was the staff, all of whom were friendly and went out of their way to please. We had a great time and will definitely return.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. The fresh flowers all around the hotel and bedroom were lovely.
Jen in the Azalea restaurant was a brilliant host and the food was amazing.

Hands down, this is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. Our room had views of Alisa Craig and the room itself was quiet and comfortable. We had a tour already planned of SW Scotland so we did not get a chance to do any of the activities but the meals were an experience and a delight! The staff were amazing and I wished we could’ve stayed longer.

WOW is what I can say about this 5 star experience…our son’s marriage in the garden of the castle, our well appointed rooms in the exquisite castle, incredibly delicious food specially prepared by the chefs and the loveliest accommodations throughout the castle all with family and friends securing the entire castle. It was like a Disney fairytale wedding and total experience. for 3 full days. The staff is beyond attentive and gracious. They make you feel special. Shout out to John, Katie, Benjamin, Fiona and the entire staff. We had the privilege of meeting the owner as well, who takes pride in creating a total experience. Whether solo, family or group looking for the most beautiful memorable vacation or event, never hesitate to select Glenapp Castle!

Imagine a stunning castle, with the Irish Sea as a backdrop to the most exquisite landscaped gardens and then stepping inside a wood-panelled reception hall and a smiling face (Laura) welcoming you to Glenapp Castle. My friend and I indulged in afternoon tea for two in the dining room and were treated like royalty from start to finish. The deliciously presented sandwiches, cakes, scones and teas from around the world were served by a fantastic host, Ally who went out of her way to ensure we had the best of times. Glenapp Castle will be seeing us again for sure! Faultless and what great memories are made of! Oh - and that Golden Eagle? Just happened to be flying on the front lawn for a photo shoot - our timing was perfect!

It was like a fairytale. Everyone was so helpful. The food was great. The people who work there could not do enough to insure everything was ok. Other than outlets behind the bed that were not accessible, there was never an issue. It was very special.

What an amazing experience, from the personal welcome upon arrival right through to departure. We particularly liked the subtle nature of the staff and their ability to be attentive without being overwhelming. We loved the magic behind having our room tidied whilst out and the bed turn down whilst dining. A real treat to visit and something to experience.
