We enjoyed our two night stay, staff worked hard to please us. Rooms are comfortable and bathrooms nice. Well supplied with coffee, tea and milk etc complimentary sherry and rusks. Fridge, kettle etc provided. Good WiFi There are items in the mini bar to purchase Restaurant has a good menu but during our stay, meals had to be preordered before 2 pm. I expect this was not normally required. Gardens and flora are spacious and very well taken care of, tv and microwave etc are available in the main building and a bar is also located there. It took us about 20 minutes to drive to town where one can find everything you may need . No ac and tv in the rooms which was not an issue for us.

We recently camped at Arundsrus. The site is well maintained and the ablutions clean. The sites are big enough for even a motorhome. The view from all the sites is quite good. We had a good breakfast at the restaurant. The lodge is only a few minutes drive from George.

Diese außergewöhnliche Unterkunft ist zwar "somewhere in the middle of nowhere", aber ein schönes Paradies. Wunderbares freundliches Personal, Charné hat großartig gekocht und ich habe mich wie ein König gefühlt.

Family Friendly Fun!
We had a lovely stay at Arendsrus Country Lodge. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially with our kids. We would love to be back soon! The peace & quiet & beautiful scenery is unrivaled.

We spent just one night at ArensRus - it was the only relaxed campsite we could find in the George area that gives you that much wanted Outeniqua Mountain feel. Even the access road is a bumpy affair giving you a rustic cattle country feel - take note to the "slow the #$^@ down" sign on the way out ;) The rates were extremely good, read: What a Bargain. Only concern is the very slippery sloped floor in the seemingly Universal Access bathrooms?! ...and a reception sign board would be a good idea too ;) The receptionist is also extremely pleasant and friendly! All in all we'll be back!!!

We travelled through the area and stumbled upon Arendsrus, looking for a camping spot for the night. We were welcomed with open arms- friendly and efficient service from the first interaction. The camping spot was fantastic with beautiful views of the mountains and the lights of Mosselbay in the distance. The private ablutions is a winner! We opted for a breakfast at the restaurant, and this too was more than 5 star! We were so impressed that we booked a second night, even though we planned to camp in a different area. Thank you to our incredible hosts- wonderful experience!
