Tilo manages hotels and apartments in Genoa. We stayed in an apartment on Via Salita del Prione. It's a very central area just steps from Piazza Rafael Ferrari and the cathedral, next to Piazza del Erbe, one of the busiest, with restaurants and bars and a great nightlife. The first difficulty we encountered was checking in online through ***********, as there was no in-person option. The person in charge helped us over the phone, after calling repeatedly because at first the answering machine was on. We spent almost an entire morning between calls, app failures, and difficulties uploading photos. The apartment is quite spacious and has almost everything, except for a washing machine and, above all, Wi-Fi. Curiously, when we asked the person in charge, they responded that these apartments are specifically for guests who request a place to disconnect from everything, and are designed for that purpose. Well, next to this square, it's absurd to expect "disconnect from everything"; on holidays, there are crowds and noise until at least 3 a.m. And of course, we never had the option to request this service. The property doesn't have it, even though we had requested it. The apartment includes a double bed and a sofa bed. But when we arrived, there was no bedding for the sofa. The person in charge told us it was because we had selected a double bed when making the reservation. In fact, we didn't make this selection; we just chose "don't care." But in any case, the sofa is included in the price, regardless of the other bed. Fortunately, they ended up bringing us the bedding for the sofa. In short, a good accommodation, but with quite a few complications.
